Intuitive Machines (LUNR) stock surged 5.11% in pre-market trading on Thursday, following a series of positive developments for the aerospace company.
The rally was fueled by the news that Intuitive Machines has secured a deal with Puli Space Technologies to investigate water ice at the Moon's south pole. The two companies will spearhead a mission to study water ice in the region and provide the first direct surface measurements from a permanently shadowed crater.
Additionally, Intuitive Machines received a significant boost as NASA selected the company to expand its commercial direct-to-Earth capabilities. Under the agreement, Intuitive Machines will provide additional capacity to support NASA's Lunar Exploration Ground Segment, meeting the mission requirements for unique, highly elliptical orbits.
