Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of the Sales Division for BYD's Ocean Network, unveiled the interior of the brand's flagship SUV, the Sealion 08, today. He described the cabin as a "vast and luxurious space, where every seat offers a sense of freedom and ease."
Based on the official promotional images, the showcase features a six-seat configuration of the Sealion 08. The front row is equipped with a conventional floating center console screen, while a second-row ceiling-mounted screen introduces enhanced entertainment features. The vehicle is also expected to include zero-gravity seats in the second row, providing a more comfortable riding experience. As previously reported by IT Home, the BYD Sealion 08 made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year. It is equipped with second-generation blade batteries, flash charging technology, the DiSus-A (Intelligent Air Body Control System), rear-wheel steering, and the DiPilot 5.0 advanced driver-assistance system.
According to information filed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new SUV measures 5,115mm in length, 1,999mm in width, and 1,800mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030mm. It will be offered in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. Previously leaked information from the DeFans Home WeChat account suggests that the all-electric version of the BYD Sealion 08 will provide range options of 800 kilometers and 900 kilometers. The vehicle will be available in both five-seat and six-seat variants, with current reports indicating a market launch in August.
