On February 26, iQiyi Inc. (IQ.US) released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2025. According to the report, iQiyi’s total annual revenue for 2025 reached RMB 27.29 billion, with Non-GAAP operating profit of RMB 640 million, marking the fourth consecutive year of operating profitability. In the fourth quarter, total revenue was RMB 6.79 billion, showing both year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter growth, while Non-GAAP operating profit stood at RMB 140 million.
During the earnings call, the company highlighted “building an AIGC ecosystem” as its third core strategic goal for 2026, following efforts to strengthen its core business and expand emerging operations. iQiyi also shared initial progress on its self-developed AI agent platform, Nadou Pro. The increasingly mature capability of AI in generating film and television content has become a major disruptive factor in the industry.
Responding to analyst questions on the potential impact of video generation models such as Seedance 2.0 on iQiyi, founder and CEO Gong Yu expressed an optimistic outlook. He stated, “Video large models significantly reduce the cost of long-form video production, shorten production timelines, and lower the barrier to creation, allowing more creators to enter the industry. This will ultimately lead to a substantial increase in both the quantity and quality of long-form content, which is highly beneficial for platforms like iQiyi.”
It is clear that AI presents significant opportunities for platforms to efficiently produce richer content. For example, in the case of “manju”—a native format of the AI era—the vast majority of such content currently available on the market is generated using AI. Utilizing AI to directly produce children's animation or vertical short dramas can reduce production costs to one-tenth or less of traditional methods. Similarly, the production of traditional content such as online movies, anime, and documentaries is increasingly being led by AI.
Gong Yu also predicted that commercially successful blockbusters generated primarily by AI will emerge within the next two to three years. Already, some live-action theatrical films, series, and variety shows have begun incorporating AI, with notable cost-saving results. “Advances in AI models worldwide over the past few months have made it clear to iQiyi that the film and TV production industry will undergo transformative changes in the next one to three years,” Gong Yu remarked.
To stay ahead of the curve, iQiyi has combined globally leading foundation models with its deep expertise in professional content creation to develop its proprietary AI agent platform, Nadou Pro. The platform aims to revolutionize professional content production, optimizing the entire workflow from script evaluation to final output, and to foster an AIGC ecosystem that attracts a new generation of creators. Nadou Pro is currently in a closed testing phase, being used by iQiyi’s internal teams and key partners to assist in the creation of various types of professional content, including films, series, and animations.
Notably, public data shows that iQiyi applied for nearly a thousand invention patents in 2025, more than half of which involve AI technology innovations. Gong Yu emphasized that AI will act as a creative catalyst, amplifying iQiyi’s core production strengths while significantly improving efficiency and reducing costs. The company is committed to building a new AIGC content ecosystem, with the platform model shifting from a centralized to a more decentralized structure. Specific measures will be unveiled at the iQiyi World Conference in April.
