Over the past four months, the U.S. national debt has increased by $696 billion, bringing the total to approximately 100% of GDP. In January alone, $94 billion in Treasury securities were issued.

With interest costs on the national debt surpassing $1 trillion, concerns about U.S. fiscal sustainability have intensified. Bondholders, such as those invested in the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT), continue to monitor the duration and interest rate risks associated with government debt.
