Li Auto is set to enter into an in-depth partnership with Amap in the field of in-cabin AI agents, with an official announcement expected shortly. The collaboration will focus on enhancing the capabilities of vehicle cockpit systems through advanced artificial intelligence.
Previously, Li Auto introduced its own driver-focused AI model, known as Li VLA, which adopts an agent-based product framework. Li Xiang, CEO of Li Auto, has emphasized that while the performance gap between average and top-tier experts in the pre-AI era might have been a factor of 100, AI technology could widen this disparity to 10,000 times. He believes AI agents will act as both a magnifying glass and a microscope, significantly amplifying differences in professional competence among individuals.
In addition to its in-house research and development efforts, Li Auto is actively pursuing external partnerships to bolster its technological offerings. According to informed sources, Amap has achieved breakthroughs in proactive intent understanding within travel scenarios. The company recently released a promotional video for its "Amap Auto Travel AI Agent," showcasing capabilities such as complex intent recognition with multi-point planning, customized navigation routes, and intent understanding coupled with multi-turn dialogues.
Upon finalizing the collaboration, Li Auto is poised to become the first automaker to integrate this advanced AI agent solution into its vehicles.
