Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory Exports Surpass 53,000 Units in April, Marking 80% Year-on-Year Growth

According to the latest statistics from the China Passenger Car Association, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory exported over 53,000 vehicles in April, representing an 80% increase compared to the same period last year. This figure sets a new record for single-month exports in the past three years.

The Shanghai Gigafactory serves as Tesla's largest global export hub, with an annual production capacity of 950,000 vehicles. It accounts for more than half of Tesla's total global deliveries. In April, the factory delivered over 79,000 vehicles, reflecting a 36% year-on-year growth.

Tesla currently has over 9 million vehicle owners worldwide. The large six-seater luxury SUV Model Y L, produced at the Shanghai factory, is accelerating deliveries across multiple markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
