Sina Tech reported on the afternoon of October 28 that Baidu's Intelligent Cloud Group (ACG) has recently carried out organizational adjustments centered on business development.
According to Sina Tech, businesses under the ACG Intelligent Application Business Unit have been reassigned based on their respective business attributes to the Infrastructure Business Unit, the Agent Business Unit, and the Service Delivery and Quality Engineering Center.
Among these changes, the Service Delivery and Quality Engineering Center has been renamed the Industry Application and Technology Service Center, with its department head remaining unchanged and continuing to report to Shen Dou.
At the same time, Baidu Vice President Ruan Yu has rotated into the role of organizational head of Xiaodu Technology, also continuing to report to Shen Dou.
In response to Sina Tech, Baidu stated that this organizational restructuring is an important measure for the company as it evolves its organization for the AI era and deepens the coordinated operations of its "cloud-intelligence integration" strategy.
Looking ahead, Baidu's ACG product and research formation will take shape as a two-tier structure comprising "infrastructure" and "agents," focusing on the two core battlefields of AI cloud and agents, and using FDE to accelerate the large-scale and efficient implementation of AI capabilities in both enterprise and consumer scenarios.
Some industry observers noted that this adjustment regroups related business lines according to business attributes, which helps each business focus more on its own main track, brings product and research resources closer to business needs, shortens decision-making chains, and improves coordination efficiency.
It also helps AI capabilities land faster in industry scenarios, connecting the path from technology to business and creating room for the long-term development of the related businesses.
