At the Alibaba Cloud Computing Conference main forum this afternoon, Honor's product line president, Fang Fei, delivered a speech outlining the company's forward-looking vision for the next phase of AI-powered devices.
She revealed that the upcoming flagship Honor Magic9 will feature the industry's first system-level Agent Harness operating system, deeply integrating a super intelligent agent model and solution co-developed with Alibaba. This advancement pushes agents from merely "understanding" to reliably "executing" tasks.
In Honor's view, devices in the next decade will no longer be mere containers for applications but rather stages for intelligent agents, with the core driver of this transformation coming from the operating system itself. Based on this insight, Honor has taken the lead in elevating its MagicOS into a partner-oriented multimodal intelligent agent operating system, called Agentic OS, which comprehensively restructures six layers of technology—from hardware and system to ecosystem—to truly achieve a paradigm shift toward intent-driven, proactive intelligence, natural interaction, and native cross-device functionality.
During this system-level restructuring, Honor has partnered with Alibaba to jointly create five vertical models and solutions tailored for next-generation AI smartphones, building industry-leading on-device agent capabilities that move AI phones from passive response to proactive service. The collaboration, rooted in the deep co-creation of Honor's MagicOS and the Qwen Intelligence platform, leverages Alibaba's top-tier foundational model capabilities alongside Honor's system expertise and real-world usage scenarios from hundreds of millions of end users, enabling innovative cloud-device synergy.
However, completing multi-step complex operations requires more than just a large language model; a system-level coordination and scheduling framework is essential. To address this, Honor has developed the industry's first system-level Agent Harness architecture, implemented on MagicOS 11. This framework organizes models with perception, planning, tool invocation, and execution, enabling agents to progress from "being able to understand" to "executing reliably," thereby accelerating the AI evolution of the operating system.
Supported by the new models and solutions, the latest generation of the YOYO assistant has achieved remarkable results in intent understanding, task planning, automated execution, and service loop closure. Key metrics include an overall task accuracy rate of 91.8%, an average automated execution time of 3.6 seconds, the ability to handle over 100 operational steps, and an end-to-end task completion rate of 90%—showing significant improvement compared to a month ago.
Fang Fei emphasized that scenario-based, vertical development is a core direction for intelligent agents. Over the past year, programming agents and office agents have emerged as the two pioneering super-scenarios. Looking ahead, a creative agent integrated with terminal imaging could be a highly promising avenue. Beyond content creation, fields such as sports and health tracking through Honor smartwatches, smart education with Honor tablets, and smart mobility and family education all hold potential for new super-scenarios. Honor PCs are also deeply embedding these scenarios.
Honor is leveraging AI to reimagine these scenarios and hardware from the ground up, hoping to lead a leap forward in future lifestyles through these explorations.
