Travel Stocks Climb in Premarket Updraft -- WSJ

Airline shares were broadly higher premarket, with shares of American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Airlines each up by 1.6% or more. JetBlue Airways and Southwest Airlines also gained.

Carrier executives have said they are expecting record travel in coming months, as several have already pared back flying plans because of staffing shortages.

Other tourism-related stocks also got a boost ahead of the bell, with cruise operators Carnival and Royal Caribbean up 4.1% and 2.8% respectively and casino operator Las Vegas Sands up 2.5%.
