MT Newswires Live01-31 22:01

Teradyne (TER) and Infineon Technologies said Friday that they have partnered to advance power semiconductor testing.

Under the partnership, Teradyne said it will acquire part of Infineon's automated test equipment team in Regensburg, Germany.

The companies said the move will boost Teradyne's capabilities, accelerating its roadmap in the power semiconductor segment while working with Infineon to develop new products.

Infineon will also secure continued manufacturing support and increased flexibility through a service agreement, benefiting from Teradyne's economies of scale, they said.

TER shares were up 0.8% in recent premarket activity.
