2157 GMT - The decision by the Trump White House to put tariffs on Mexico and Canada is inexplicable and dangerous, former U.S. Treasury Secretary Larry Summers says in a post on LinkedIn. Tariffs will lift prices for all kinds of goods, while making exports from all of North America much less competitive, he adds. The prospect of retaliation will only deepen the impact, Summers says.
