Consumer Stocks Extend Losses Monday -- Consumer Roundup

Consumer stocks continued last week's slide to start the week, with declines hitting both staples and discretionary stocks.

Shares of Brown-Forman, an owner of alcoholic-drink brands, climbed on hopes that some American liquor could be spared from European tariffs.

Shares of Apple Hospitality, a real-estate investment trust, fell after the company warned investors that macroeconomic uncertainty is hurting travel demand.

MasterCraft Boat Holdings CFO Tim Oxley said he will retire. The stock fell.
