Alphabet's Google (GOOG, GOOGL) extended its partnership with AI coding startup Replit with a new multiyear agreement to expand AI-powered vibe coding for enterprise teams.
The deal broadens Replit's use of Google Cloud services and integrates Google's AI models into the platform.
"Our growing partnership will deliver more capabilities to Replit's users through deeper integrations with our AI and cloud services," Google Cloud Chief Executive Officer Thomas Kurian said Thursday in a blog post.
"Today's expanded partnership with Google will enable us to scale faster and more deeply as we integrate Google's offerings with ours," Replit CEO Amjad Masad said in the post.
The partnership positions Google to compete more directly with Anthropic and Cursor in fast-growing vibe coding, CNBC reported.
Alphabet shares fell 1% in recent Thursday trading.
