1454 ET - MercadoLibre continues to benefit from its expansion in Brazil, Cantor Fitzgerald says in a report about the Uruguay-based ecommerce company. MercadoLibre's 4Q results beat forecasts, driven by acceleration in Brazil, a key market alongside Argentina and Mexico. Cantor sees "promising results" from lower free shipping threshold, which MELI says is driving higher purchase frequency and bringing new buyers. Advertising and fintech revenues are also helping, with increasing issuance of credit cards in Argentina and Mexico. A new AI-based customer-service assistant is showing "encouraging" results, Cantor says. The firm reiterates an overweight/top pick rating while revising price target to $2,400 from $2,750. MercadoLibre falls 8.1%, to $1766.(paulo.trevisani@wsj.com; @ptrevisani)
