The U.S.-Israeli military operation in Iran remains unchanged by the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday, according to a person briefed on the operation.

Planned over the course of several months, the joint action, which entered a second day Sunday, is expected to last for at least several days, the person said. Jet fighters have fired more than 1,200 munitions against Iran since the start of U.S.-Israeli strikes over 24 hours ago, according to the Israeli military.
