Shares of cryptocurrency companies slid as the conflict in the Middle East widened, hurting investors' appetite for risk.

Strategy slid 3.7% in premarket trading. Robinhood fell 4.7%. Circle Internet Group dropped 4.3%. Coinbase was down 3.8%.

President Trump said U.S. attacks on Iran are expected to last four or five weeks but could go longer, raising fears of an extended Middle East conflict.
