U.S. forces struck and sunk an Iranian Navy vessel during the massive military campaign against Iran, according to U.S. Central Command.

The American military hit an Iranian Jamaran-class corvette during the start of the operation, and the ship is now sinking in the Gulf of Oman at Chah Bahar pier, Centcom said in a post on X.

"As the President said, members of Iran's armed forces, IRGC and police 'must lay down your weapons.' Abandon ship," Centcom wrote on social media, referring to President Trump and Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, a paramilitary force with some 200,000 armed members.
