Singapore's IMDA, Microsoft to Collaborate on AI Safety and Security

Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority and Microsoft signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their collaboration on artificial intelligence safety and security, according to a release by the city-state's regulator on Sunday.

Under the agreement, the two parties will conduct joint research into agentic AI and develop evaluation methods, including multilingual AI safety and best practices.

A key constituent of this agreement is the development of a white paper, in partnership with the Singapore AI Safety Institute and other government agencies.
