Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority launched a SG$48 million digital content and capability development program to help media professionals and companies improve their efficiency, according to a media release on Thursday.

The four-year program is in line with the recent digital trend, wherein 87% of people aged 15 and above prefer video platforms for content consumption.

The program will provide support for creation and distribution across all digital formats and also boost capabilities to incorporate AI in daily workflow.

Additionally, media companies will be required to go through a bi-annual accreditation process before becoming eligible to participate in the program.

To date, 117 companies have been accredited.
