President Donald Trump announced his endorsement of Republican Kurt Alme for the U.S. Senate in Montana on July 24. Trump described Alme as a "terrific candidate" and a "truly Great American Patriot," citing his own victories in the state in 2016, 2020, and 2024.
Trump contrasted Alme with his Democratic opponent, Alani Bankhead, whom he labeled a "Radical Left Democrat" advocating for high taxes, open borders, leniency toward violent criminals, and policies allowing men in women's sports and transgender rights for everyone. The President called Bankhead's positions "CRAZY ideas" and characterized her as a "Radical Left LUNATIC Dumocrat" who would put the country and safety last.
In contrast, Trump praised Alme as "one of the Strongest, and most Conservative, Republican Candidates in the Country" who will always put Montana and America first. He concluded his statement with a full endorsement: "Kurt Alme is the PATRIOT that everyone is looking for, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement — KURT WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
