Trump: Rodric Bray won't seek re-election, cost GOP two House seats

President Donald J. Trump announced on July 31 that Indiana State Senate President Rodric Bray will not seek re-election, calling him a "FOOL" who cost the Republican Party two U.S. House seats and led colleagues to electoral defeat. Trump made the statement on social media, criticizing Bray's leadership during the 2022 midterms.

"I am pleased to announce that the man who so foolishly led the Indiana State Senate, with almost every Candidate losing their Race, many of them in Office for years, will not be seeking Re-Election as Senate President because he wouldn't have had a chance to be elected," Trump wrote. He added that Bray should resign entirely but will face opposition at the polls.

Trump specifically blamed Bray for costing "our Country, mainly the Republican Party, two U.S. House Seats" and causing "an Election loss" for colleagues who supported him. The president expressed gratitude to Indiana voters for their loyalty in his own presidential victory, which he described as the highest vote total in state history.
