President Donald Trump on July 29 called on the Senate to adopt a Budget Resolution before the August recess, framing it as a critical first step toward advancing his legislative agenda.
In a statement posted on X, Trump said Senator Ron Johnson is working with Senate Republican Leadership to secure the resolution, which can be passed with a simple majority threshold. The President emphasized that the measure is necessary to incorporate as much of the SAVE AMERICA ACT as possible into a Budget Bill, while also funding the military and supporting American farmers.
"This is the first step towards getting as much of THE SAVE AMERICA ACT as possible in a Budget Bill, funding our Troops, and helping our Farmers," Trump wrote. He urged the Senate to "GET IT DONE" before the recess.
