Thailand is seeking to attract more investment from Australian companies by promoting the country as a gateway to the nearly 700 million-strong ASEAN market, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said.
Anutin said Thailand's political stability, logistics infrastructure and measures to ease investment hurdles have strengthened its appeal to Australian businesses, Thai Public Relations department announced Wednesday.
Thailand recorded 1.47 trillion baht in investment-promotion applications in the first half of 2026, according to the Thailand Board of Investment.
Anutin also said Thailand could explore exporting jet fuel to Australia, where demand is strong, as Thailand has supplies beyond domestic needs.
