India's food safety regulator inspected a Pernod Ricard plant in Bengaluru last week and collected liquor samples, Reuters reported Thursday, citing four people familiar with the matter.
A government official said the regulator had asked Pernod to improve hygiene standards at the facility and correct labels on bottles indicating the use of recycled plastic, according to the report.
Pernod Ricard India and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India did not immediately respond to MTNewswires' request for comment.
