Kodiak AI (KDK) said Tuesday that an unsupervised driverless truck equipped with its sixth-generation Kodiak Driver autonomous driving system achieved 64 consecutive days of continuous uptime.
The autonomy stack and the truck were running and available for service in Kodiak's industrial deployment in the Permian Basin, according to a statement.
Five more Kodiak Driver-equipped trucks have surpassed 45 consecutive days of continuous uptime. As of June 30, these trucks were part of a fleet of 35 trucks owned and operated by Atlas Energy Solutions in the Permian, the company said.
The company has committed to grow the Atlas fleet in the basin to 100 trucks by mid-2027, and is also gearing up for its planned driverless highway launch between Dallas and Houston by the end of 2026, according to the company.
