Singapore Airlines (SGX:C6L) has signed an agreement to purchase up to 4,800 tonnes of next-generation sustainable aviation fuel from Aether Beacon, according to a company release on Wednesday.
The deal is for three years, with deliveries expected from 2028.
Fuel will be made from waste carbon feedstocks such as biomethane and industrial waste gases, using Aether's Aurora technology.
Aether also has plans to start up its first large-scale commercial plant by 2031, with capacity at least 10 times that of Beacon.
