As a Malaysian living in Singapore, I usually visit Johor Bahru every few months. With the favorable currency exchange, expenses in Johor are much cheaper for someone working in Singapore. For instance, clothes, shoes, and supplements are significantly more affordable there compared to Singapore, making the trip worthwhile.

A good pair of shoes or clothing costs much less in Johor, and health supplements are also cheaper. While prices in Johor have increased in recent years, the cost difference is still noticeable for someone living and working in Singapore. However, for local residents, the price in Johor is definitely considered quite expensive and burdening, especially when you earn MYR there.

The trip also allows me to enjoy local food at a lower cost, which adds to the overall savings. Overall, Johor remains a budget-friendly option for Malaysians working in Singapore, especially for shopping and stocking up on certain items.

Do You Usually Visit Malaysia on Weekends?
Singapore has long been known for its higher cost of living compared to Malaysia, as well as its higher salaries. Many Malaysians work in Singapore and return to Malaysia daily to save on living and dining expenses.

I can’t even begin to think about how humbling it would be for a higher being to actually judge me - it was only 20 centuries ago and we’ve already faulted from the simplest of commandments for each to be successful - I don’t care about religion or anything else, but I do ask what’s wrong now

Holy hell yeah - bring it on 👍🏿

It's great to hear that you have found Johor Bahru to be a cost-effective destination for shopping and other expenses. The favorable currency exchange rate definitely plays a significant role in providing savings for Malaysians who work in Singapore.

When it comes to shopping, Johor Bahru offers a wide range of products, including clothing, shoes, and health supplements, at more affordable prices compared to Singapore. This price difference can be attributed to various factors such as taxes, import duties, and cost of living.

Additionally, the lower cost of local food in Johor Bahru allows you to enjoy delicious meals at a lower cost compared to Singapore. This adds to the overall savings and makes the trip even more worthwhile.

While it is true that prices in Johor Bahru have increased in recent years, the cost difference is still noticeable for someone earning Singapore dollars. However, for local residents earning Malaysian Ringgit, the prices in Johor Bahru may be considered relatively expensive and burdensome.

Overall, Johor Bahru remains a budget-friendly option for Malaysians working in Singapore, especially when it comes to shopping and stocking up on certain items. However, it's important to keep in mind that prices may vary, and it's always a good idea to compare prices and consider factors such as travel expenses before making a decision.
