If what Deepseek is truly capable of what it said it could do at a fraction of the price, then it's going to be great news for the entire industry. Because what used to be only affordable to the top rich players is now possible for the middle and smaller scale companies and AI technologies will have a much broader base of clients. In the long run, it's going to mean loads more business for all the players. No doubt that competition is heating up, and this Deepseek thing is a sharp knock on the head for all the US big players to pull up their socks and buck up. Such healthy competition will push the industry standards to new heights. All in all, this is going to be awesome.
