1. Tesla Model Y L is really underwhelming compared to the 6-seater competition in China. Interior is really bare. The 3rd row is relatively cramped, floor is raised. My head was 1-2 fingers away from the glass (I'm 1.8M)
2. ES8 feels premium and spacious. The interior feels very welcoming. The sound system is amazing. Third row is more roomy than Model Y L. Frunk is huuuuge.
3. Firefly looks a lot better in real life. It's a lot more spacious than the mini.
4. L90 feels like the stripped-down version of ES8 with less premium interior. But third row is more spacious than ES8 and the frunk is more practical imo. I would buy this for the cost-performance.
5. L60 feels like the smaller version of L90. The 2nd row feels like a large comfy sofa. Super spacious. Downside though is the lack of roof screen option.
6. ET9's fly-by-wire steering is game-changing. Driving it was a joy. More relaxing than driving a gas car. Interior though didn't feel as premium as the ES8. I preferred the central big screen than the individual back seat screen.
I also tried out the ET5T and ET7. Imo, after experiencing ES8, they felt smaller. Probably less suited for families.
Overall, I can feel the competition in China is really red-hot but NIO's new product line-up makes it really a serious contender and gives me more confidence in my investment.
