--RH PetroGas Latest Gas Exploration Project--
Northwest Klagagi-1 (NWK-1) is a combined development and exploration well in Indonesia, which officially commenced drilling (spudded) on 25 June 2026.The project is operated by Petrogas (Basin) Ltd., an 82.65%-owned subsidiary of the Singapore Exchange (SGX)-listed company RH Petrogas Limited.
Location: Situated in the onshore Arar Block, within the Kepala Burung (Bird's Head) Production Sharing Contract (PSC) in Southwest Papua, Indonesia. It lies roughly 15 km northeast of the main Arar production cluster.
Target Depth: Planned to reach a total depth of 6,700 feet (approx. 2,000 metres).
Duration: Drilling operations are estimated to take 36 days using the group's own rig.
The well is unique because it serves a dual strategic purpose:
Development Target: It primarily focuses on securing near-term gas resources within the upper Kais Formation. It is targeting an estimated 55 billion cubic feet (bcf) of low-risk gas for immediate development.
Exploration Target: Once development objectives are met, the rig will drill deeper to assess additional hydrocarbon potential across the lower Kais Formation, the Oligocene Sirga Formation, and the underlying Devonian Basement. This deeper section holds an estimated exploration upside of 120 bcf of gas.
