$SpaceX(SPCX)$ For the many shareholders here who clearly don't get how the 900 million share unlock works, it's a slow, methodically restrictive process that starts on Aug 6th.
Only 20 percent gets unlocked in this first round. Not all of those shareholders will sell all, or even any, of their shares. This stock averages about 150 million shares traded a day, so the trickle should be easily absorbed with each release.
The next unlock of another 7 percent only happens if the share price stays above $175 for the preceding 10 days. It's basically a non-issue.
Not all insiders or affected shareholders exit their positions just because they can. And if they don't? It's because they have inside information or believe in the company.
Mr Musk can sell shares next year, but will he? Unlikely IMO.
