  • Lowe's generated $26 billion in total sales and maintained $2.4 billion in net earnings for the second quarter.

  • The company lowered its fiscal 2026 guidance, expecting total sales of approximately $92 billion and flat comparable sales.

  • Management stated the results were supported by professional and home services demand despite ongoing softness in do-it-yourself spending.

Lowe’s (NYSE:LOW) reported second-quarter 2026 sales of $26 billion, up from $24 billion, while net earnings held at $2.4 billion.

Comparable sales rose 0.2%, as stronger Pro and home services demand and 15.7% online growth offset softer DIY spending.

Adjusted diluted EPS increased 1.6% to $4.40, while diluted EPS remained $4.27, with both measures including a $0.11 benefit from IEEPA tariff refunds.

Lowe’s excluded $96 million in pre-tax expenses tied to the Foundation Building Materials and Artisan Design Group acquisitions from adjusted results, while operating margin was 13.67%.

Lowe’s now expects fiscal 2026 sales of $92 billion, flat comparable sales and adjusted diluted EPS of about $12.25.

Lowe’s operated 1,761 stores as of July 31 and has expanded its Pro-focused strategy through the $8.8 billion Foundation Building Materials deal and $1.325 billion Artisan Design Group acquisition.

The company also raised its quarterly dividend 4% to $1.25 in May and paid $673 million in dividends during the second quarter.
