AMD falling 7.59% on Monday before Tuesday's after-close is classic earnings de-risking, not a broken thesis. The bar is high: company guided ∼$13B +/- $300M revenue at 54.5% non-GAAP gross margin, but consensus now sits at $13.22B and $1.97 EPS. Q3 itself won't reset the chip trade, Q4 guidance will. Bulls are betting MI450 and Helios can take real data-center share from Nvidia and re-anchor valuations around AMD growth, while bears are rightly flagging lofty expectations, supply-ramp execution, and thin margins on new AI racks. If AMD prints data-center above $4B with a clean MI450 ramp into 2026 and margin expansion, it lifts AMD, SOXL and the whole AI supply chain. If it guides light, the pullback continues. As an options seller i'm not chasing strength here — selling cash-secured puts into this fear is better risk/reward than buying the bounce before the print. Not investment advice.

MI450 Meets a Higher Bar — Can AMD Reset the Chip Trade?
AMD fell 7.59% Monday ahead of Tuesday’s after-close earnings, making the move an earnings-positioning signal. It guided to about $13B in Q3 revenue, plus or minus $300M, and 54.5% non-GAAP gross margin; consensus is now $13.22B revenue and $1.97 EPS. Bulls cite MI450 and Helios demand; bears flag lofty expectations, supply-ramp risks, and thin margins. What will anchor chip valuations next: AMD data-center growth, Nvidia’s share, or Arm-Qualcomm device demand?
