How Much Do You Spend on Grab Services Each Month?

Despite the solid performance, $Grab Holdings(GRAB)$ stock dropped by 10% after hours. While GMV and EBITDA grew, both missed Bloomberg’s forecast (GMV by 1.24%, EBITDA by 3%), suggesting that the market had already priced in much of the expected growth. The company’s user incentives grew by 37% year-over-year, but the market is concerned whether such large subsidies can continue to drive sustainable growth in active users, which increased by only 17%.Looking ahead, the company expects a 19% to 22% rise in sales, projecting $3.33 billion to $3.4 billion in revenue this year, just shy of the $3.5 billion analysts' average forecast. But the loan portfolio grew by 64%, highlighting Grab's significant expansion in its digital financial services
How Much Do You Spend on Grab Services Each Month?
TOPShyon: I rarely use Grab $Grab Holdings(GRAB)$ in Singapore since public transport is incredibly convenient and affordable. However, whenever I travel to Malaysia, Grab becomes essential for getting around, especially in areas where public transport options are limited. The ride-hailing service is reliable, and pricing is generally reasonable, making it my preferred choice when traveling there. I haven't personally used Grab's financial services like GrabPay, loans, or insurance, but I can see the potential for growth in this sector. The 64% growth in its loan portfolio is impressive, showing strong expansion in digital financial services. However, sustainability will be key, as heavy user incentives may not be a long-term solution for maintaining growth. While Grab's revenue and operating cash flow have improved, missing Bloomberg's forecasts seems to have dampened market sentiment. The company's projected sales for this year are slightly below analyst expectations, raising concerns about whether it can sustain its growth momentum. I believe its financial services segment could be a major differentiator if executed well, but the next few quarters will be crucial in proving its long-term potential. @Tiger_SG @TigerStars @Daily_Discussion @TigerGPT @Tiger_comments

Alibaba 3-Year High: Expect Earnings Boost or Sell-the-News?

Alibaba (NYSE: BABA) has been on an impressive rally, closing at $125.79, just shy of its 52-week high of $129.02 and well above its 52-week low of $68.36. Alibaba (BABA) The stock has more than doubled from its 2023 lows, driven by improving investor sentiment, China’s economic recovery, and Alibaba’s AI advancements. However, with earnings around the corner, investors are now faced with a critical decision: Will Alibaba’s earnings fuel another surge? Or will the stock pull back as investors take profits? Let’s break it down. Alibaba’s AI Push: A Competitive Edge? A key catalyst for Alibaba’s recent momentum is its progress in artificial intelligence (AI). In February, a blind test ranking for large language models (LLMs) placed Alibaba’s Tongyi Qianwen 2.5 Max at the top among Chinese mo

AyKing's Option Playbook: IWM Bull Put Spread

On 12 Feb, CPI data was announced and market generally opened negatively. I noted that IWM price was at 150 moving average (MA). For the recent times, the price usually finds support and reacts on the 150 MA. Hence, I took the view that IWM price should stay above 150 MA and I decided to open a Bull Put Spread with strikes $208/$213, date of expiry 21 Mar 2025, for credit of $0.80. I’ll get to keep the credit if price stays above $213 on 21 Mar 2025. The total risk of this trade is $4.20 ($5 spread – $0.80 credit received), which is approx. 1% of my total capital. Technical analysis for IWM (Timeframe: Daily Chart) Screenshot of my position captured on 16 Feb 2025. Notice that the delta for strike price $213 is <0.2 Here are my considerations for entering this trade as well as my plans

AI Boom or Bust? Could NVIDIA Earnings Fuel the Next Big Move?

NVIDIA’s upcoming earnings report on February 26th is highly anticipated as investors gauge whether the AI-driven rally can continue. The company has been at the center of the AI boom, with its H100 GPUs powering cutting-edge AI models like ChatGPT. However, despite its dominance, there are signs of potential headwinds that could slow its meteoric rise. What to Expect from NVIDIA’s Earnings? Bank of America expects NVIDIA to slightly exceed expectations, which would be positive news for the stock. However, simply beating earnings estimates may not be enough—forward guidance will play a crucial role. If NVIDIA signals slowing growth, the stock could pull back. Key Challenges Facing NVIDIA 1. Problem i have with it is its up so so much that id love to buy more at today's prices but im just so overweight in it, i cant. I can't sell it either because i truely  believe its going way higher. Seriously you only need to look to the call options to see the market believe its worth $34 this year alone. if all goes to plan with their new neutron rocket, well its worth $40 plus. Realistically though, its 50/50 the new rocket could be delayed. But i really don't care,  the future potential of this company is so massive that a short term view is irrelevant. Just recently, we reviewed it at around $19 per share, and it’s up 35% since then, reaching the $25 level. RBA's Rate Cut: A Calculated Move Amidst Economic Crosswinds

Michele Bullock, Governor of RBA In a move widely anticipated by markets, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) today announced a cut to the cash rate, reducing it by 25 basis points to 4.10%. This marks the first rate cut since November 2020, signalling a potential turning point in Australia's battle against inflation and the beginning of a new cycle for the Australian economy. While the cut is undoubtedly "very welcome news," as Treasurer Jim Chalmers noted, it's crucial to delve deeper into the reasons, implications, and prospects this decision unveils.   Australia, like many global economies, has been grappling with elevated inflation. However, the RBA's statement accompanying the rate cut highlights a crucial shift: "underlying inflation is moderating." Indeed, inflation has fallen

$ParkwayLife Reit(C2PU.SI)$ Basic Profile & Key Statistics Key Indicators Performance Highlight Parkway Life REIT (PLife REIT) reported a slight decline in gross revenue and NPI year-on-year, primarily due to the depreciation of the Japanese Yen. While the amount available for distribution improved slightly, DPU declined marginally due to an enlarged unitholder base following an equity fundraising exercise. Why Your Trading Results Have Nothing To Do With Your Strategy

Find out more about me here: https://linktr.ee/keeleytan Earlier this week, a friend of mine showed me his "proven" strategy. When I asked to see his backtested results, he sent me an excel sheet with 20 trades. He told me it’s working great so far.  A few years ago, I was like him. I thought that trading in a live environment was the best way to learn. That mindset cost me over $10,000 and it nearly ended my trading career before it really began. When I first started trading, I was confident in myself. I deposited $5,000 into a live account. I have no backtesting results to fall back on. My first few trades were winners. I felt like a genius. Then reality hits. I lost 12 trades in a row. I had no idea if my "strategy" actually had an edge. I FOMO’d into trades, used excessive risk, a

Is The Trade Desk Screwed? The price action of The Trade Desk (TTD) after the company announced its Q4 2024 earnings results, allowed the stock to drop 34.4% since earnings. This was the very first time in 33 quarters, since the company went public, that The Trade Desk missed its own guidance. On top of that, guidance for Q1 2025 was disappointing too. If you have these elements combined, the question becomes if this is a pivotal moment and The Trade Desk has lost its magic. On CNBC, Josh Brown, who I respect, said that The Trade Desk would be in the penalty box for a few quarters until it gains back the confidence of investors. This is definitely a possibility. But just like everything in investing, it's definitely not a certainty. If the next quarter is outstanding, investors will quickl
