$ocbc bank(O39.SI)$ OCBC has just reported its Q4 24 earnings and it did not quite meet the analysts' expectations. Nonetheless OCBC's core fundamentals have not changed. It is still a profitable bank with rock solid balance sheet and a great management team. OCBC's FY24 Group Net Profit is up 8% to SGD 7.59 billion compared to FY23. It has rewarded me with Special Dividends of 16 cents. The current dividend yield is 5% which is much better than putting money into a Singapore Savings Account. I am a long term investor of OCBC and believe that it is a great bank stock to buy and hold long term. So far OCBC has rewarded me with excellent capital growth of 51% and nice, juicy dividends. $STLA 20250321 15.0 CALL$ Closing my stellantis call that I opened about 2 weeks ago when the stock was at 13.80, I was hoping market mover would push down the stock before earnings. I miscalculated and the stock remained at 14 and above right up till earnings. But Stellantis released earnings last night and reported a 50% dip in revenue. As expected the stock dropped, in premarket about 1 whole dollar. I decided to close my call at a decent profit, instead of waiting till expiry. I was already expecting a bleak reality to the expectations, which us why I've been selling calls. We all know Trump is Not a fan of EV. what does it mean is a total U turn from Biden era energy efficiency policy and swing back to fossil fuel energy and nuclear powered vehicle. I had some TSLA shares two years ago. I bought them cheap then made a good profit. I won't be buying Tesla shares again unless it's really cheap. Nevertheless, most EV makers are struggling and almost 95% of EV starters have gone bankrupt. Especially Chinese EV makers still cannot see the break even. I also think that retail investors should give a break on NVDIA stocks for a little while unless the investors confidence settles in AI. Over the last few weeks NVIDIA stock was too volatile. NVIDIA earnings report was not so great and share price dropped from its pic in early February.
