I believe that AI+ product is a safe haven against tariffs as their product are not actual products that require import and export that the current tariffs are about. The current tariffs are on material stuff and there is nothing on services yet. However, that could change instantly if countries impose policies to make it harder to use these. At this point, I don’t think that would happen as these services often help with productivity and efficiency and doing so would inhibit the economic progress of the country. Technology and AI go hand in hand and can be coupled for greater growth. I think eventually technology will use AI too and both are not mutually exclusive. Consumers can use them for different purposes. Technology is less dependent on supply chain fluctuations and may not be depen
Nvidia's China Chip Strategy - Tightrope Walk with Share Price Implications
$NVIDIA(NVDA)$ 's recent efforts to modify its AI chips for export to China, in compliance with tightened U.S. export restrictions, present a complex scenario for its share price. While these moves aim to preserve access to a critical market, the overall impact on the stock is subject to a variety of counteracting forces, making a "significant benefit" uncertain and dependent on numerous factors. The Modified Chips and Market Access: Facing stringent U.S. export controls aimed at limiting China's access to advanced semiconductor technology, Nvidia has been compelled to design less powerful versions of its AI chips for the Chinese market. Notably, the H20 chip, itself a product of earlier restriction compliance, is reportedly being further d
THE ULTIMATE PLAYBOOK FOR CYBERSECURITY IN THE AI ERA
The first wave of AI was about potential -- what models could do, how fast they could learn, how widely they could scale. But the second wave will be about control. Not just what AI can do, but what it should do, and what happens when it goes off-script. This next chapter isn’t about training smarter agents. It’s about making sure the infrastructure they run on doesn’t collapse under the weight of its own intelligence. Because when machines are making decisions and triggering actions in real time -- across enterprise environments, supply chains, and critical infrastructure -- failure isn’t hypothetical. It’s systemic. And if you zoom out, you’ll realize this isn’t a cybersecurity story. It’s THE story. That’s the shift the market hasn’t priced in. Investors still think of cybersecurity as a

Energy costs, Cargo theft & Berkshire - News and my thoughts from last week (12May25)
News and my thoughts from last week (12May25) 10000 hours do not guarantee success but it is part of the journey to mastery. Buffett underlined the importance of identifying what skills you already have and what you love doing, and then find people who can teach you to improve. Ideally that means spending time with instructors or mentors, though it may be just as valuable to read what experts in your field have written on the subject. - CNBC “Energy costs are a significant factor in the overall production cost of a smelter. High energy costs plague the US aluminium industry, forcing cutbacks and closures.” - Wood Mackenzie (CNBC) Xeneta’s Chief Analyst warns that a return to Red Sea routes could flood the market with capacity, potentially causing a dramatic collapse in freight rates, furth
🌟🌟🌟Bill Gates made the right choice to dine in Newton Food Centre as its vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings makes it a culinary landmark that continually draws both locals and visitors alike. My favourite stall is Heng Carrot Cake. It is one of the standout Bib Gourmand stalls in the food centre. Established since 1971, Heng Carrot Cake is noted for its unique approach in steaming its own carrot cake rather than relying on premade versions. There are both white and black versions. I love the black version with its crispy exterior and lots of wok hei. Just writing about it makes my mouth salivate. Talking about Durian, I am not surprised that Bill Gates is not too keen about it. While it is celebrated as the King of Fruits, the pungent aroma can be a lit
Singapore's cost of living: a matter of perspective Many perceive Singapore as exceedingly expensive, but the reality is nuanced and depends heavily on lifestyle choices. My family, residing in an HDB flat, primarily cooks at home, occasionally dining out at shopping mall restaurants on weekends. The cost of education, from primary school to junior college, is virtually free for Singaporean citizens. Compared to average household income, basic living expenses remain relatively low. However, a luxurious lifestyle significantly increases expenses. For instance, a Certificate of Entitlement (COE) for a car can cost S$100,000—a substantial sum for a 10-year permit. Similarly, a modest condominium might cost S$2 million, while luxury goods and fine dining are r

AMD’s Xilinx-Powered Military Might Ignites Trillion-Dollar Dreams
$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ AMD is a beast ready to roar, with its $160.2B market cap ($102.84/share) masking a titan in the making. Fueled by AI, gaming recovery, and Xilinx’s defense tech, it’s no wonder whales are dropping $180M on July 2025 calls, betting on a breakout past $106.60 to hit $115 fast—a 12% pop. But the real controversy lies in AMD’s Xilinx arm, quietly arming missiles, drones, and satellites for over 30 years. Is AMD the next NVIDIA, or a geopolitical hot potato ready to explode? The Breakout Setup Financial Firepower (Q2 2025): AMD’s $7.4B revenue (up 36% YoY) crushed estimates, rivaling NVIDIA’s growth. Data Center soared 57% to $3.7B, driven by EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs. "Keep Losing Money in Stock Markets? Do You Have Bad Habits?" Losing money in the stock market is a common experience for beginners—and often a painful one. But behind the numbers, there’s a deeper story: your behavior. Most investors don’t lose because they lack intelligence, but because they fail to develop the right habits and mindset. Yes, when I first started the green journey in investing, I made many of the classic mistakes. Chasing hot stocks, panic-selling during dips, overtrading, ignoring risk—these were all rooted in emotional decision-making. But like any discipline, investing rewards patience, self-awareness, and continuous learning. Today, I’ve cultivated good investing habits and behavior, and now enjoy modest, consistent returns—what I call “modest harvesting.” The goal is

🌟🌟🌟US President Donald Trump recently urged investors to "buy US stocks now", citing optimism about the economy following a new trade deal with the United Kingdom. His comments suggested confidence in the US market's future growth but should we take his advice at face value? Understanding Trump's Market Optimism Trump's remarks came as the US stock indexes have seen recent gains. His administration's trade policies particularly tariff adjustments have influenced market movements with investors reacting to potential shifts. While Trump claims that the US economy will be "like a rocket ship that goes straight up", it is important to analyse whether this optimism aligns with the broader market trends and economic fundamentals. Factors to Consider B
"Tesla's market share in the United States as a percentage of EVs sold has fallen from 75% in the first quarter of 2022 to 43.5% in the first quarter of 2025. While still the leader in the space, this market share slowdown has greatly affected revenue, which declined 20% year over year last quarter." 20% fall in revenue in their largest market is worrying in itself. It is a worst fall the rest of the world. But the Tesla/Musk fanboys are ignoring fundamentals and hatching on the the robotaxi promise. But do remember before the robotaxi promise, there was the cybertruck promise, and before that there was the cheaper Tesla model promise. Cybertruck sales is tanking and there are reports of overstock and manufacturing ceasing, barely two years TD after the launch. The cheape
