Temple Visits, Veggie Feasts, or Family Fun? Share Your Vesak Day!

Today is Vesak Day, a public holiday in Singapore. What’s better than not working? Not working on a Monday!Vesak Day commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Siddhartha Gautama—the Buddha. The day begins with early morning ceremonies at temples. Buddhists gather to celebrate with vibrant decorations, vegetarian food fairs, and public talks, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. Many devotees spend the day doing good deeds, believing that acts of kindness on Vesak Day bring multiplied blessings. Some release caged birds and animals, symbolizing spiritual liberation. So, have you decided which temple to visit today?🛕 Buddha Tooth Relic TempleThis grand temple houses the sacred Buddha Tooth Relic, enshrined in a 3.5-ton stupa made from 320 kg of gold donated by devotees. It’s truly
Temple Visits, Veggie Feasts, or Family Fun? Share Your Vesak Day!
TOPShyon: Although I'm not a Buddhist and don't celebrate Vesak Day religiously, I appreciate this public holiday as a chance to pause and unwind. With no work on a Monday, it feels like a bonus long weekend to slow down from the usual hustle. Instead of visiting temples or crowded events, I chose to stay home and enjoy a peaceful day with my family. Spending time at home helps me recharge and reconnect with loved ones in a relaxed way. Simple things like home-cooked meals, meaningful conversations, and just being together matter most. I also took a moment to reflect on gratitude, which resonates with Vesak Day’s spirit, even if I don’t observe it religiously. While I didn’t join Vesak Day activities like temple visits or vegetarian fairs, I respect the festival’s cultural meaning. For me, the holiday is about rest, family bonding, and appreciating life’s simple joys. It’s a refreshing way to start the week with calmness and positive energy. @Tiger_SG @Tiger_comments @TigerStars

Lam Research (LRCX) Elliott Wave Update: Bullish Trend Intact Despite Ongoing Correction

Lam Research (LRCX) remains bullish despite a corrective wave IV. Elliott Wave analysis suggests further upside potential as wave V approaches. Lam Research Corporation (LRCX) shows a strong long-term bullish trend based on Elliott Wave analysis. The multi-decade chart highlights a clear impulsive structure that began in the early 2000s. After finishing a large corrective move, labeled as cycle wave II, the stock began a steady and powerful rally. Wave III topped with a well-defined five-wave pattern from the 2009 low. The chart shows strong momentum and clean internal subdivisions, supporting the view of an extended bullish phase. Now, Lam Research is undergoing a correction in wave IV, which appears to form a double zigzag. The corrective sequence is labeled as ((W))-((X))-((Y)). The key

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  is a stock suitable for speculative trades. Its volatile swings allow it to reap large profits within a short period of time, and its stock movement is highly susceptible to any kinds of news (esp those recent ones in the US). A truly daredevil stock!

$Fortinet(FTNT)$  Down another 2%...which too damn small for a company that is laden with debts, falling account receivables, slowing demands, rising inventories and taxes, etc.. Further HEAVY drop 📉 in prices is expected. FTNT is way over valued, so do. It get caught in the value trap and GROWTH BS that Ass-nalyst are selling you, while they are throwing out their positions and profiting at your expense. So run before they do and let hold on to the ROTTEN FRUIT. 🤣 Trade safe and prosper.

Apple (AAPL) might best match with Virgo. Here's why: Virgo is analytical, detail-oriented, and perfectionist—traits reflected in Apple’s precise design, innovation, and relentless refinement of products. Apple is known for consistency and a clean, minimalist aesthetic—very Virgo-like qualities. Palantir Technologies (PLTR) to a zodiac sign, it might best align with Scorpio: Scorpios are intense, strategic, and secretive—just like Palantir’s focus on deep data analysis, government contracts, and intelligence. Scorpios are also known for transformation and wielding power through insight, which fits Palantir’s role in helping organizations make powerful, data-driven decisions behind the scenes. @Barcode

Duolingo vs ServiceNow: The Owl and the Automaton

When comparing a wide-eyed green owl to an enterprise workflow behemoth, one might assume they’re in entirely different galaxies. And yet, $Duolingo, Inc.(DUOL)$ and $ServiceNow(NOW)$ offer an illuminating study in scale, profitability, and the art of monetising software—just from opposite ends of the software spectrum. Two software paths, one root—consumer charm vs enterprise scale Duolingo makes language learning addictive. It boasts 97.6 million monthly active users (up 46% year-over-year) and over 6 million paying subscribers, representing a 59% jump. Revenue hit $566M over the last twelve months, with 41% year-over-year growth. Duolingo is, by all measures, a consumer software growth rocket. ServiceNo

I believe that AI+ product is a safe haven against tariffs as their product are not actual products that require import and export that the current tariffs are about. The current tariffs are on material stuff and there is nothing on services yet. However, that could change instantly if countries impose policies to make it harder to use these. At this point, I don’t think that would happen as these services often help with productivity and efficiency and doing so would inhibit the economic progress of the country. Technology and AI go hand in hand and can be coupled for greater growth. I think eventually technology will use AI too and both are not mutually exclusive. Consumers can use them for different purposes. Technology is less dependent on supply chain fluctuations and may not be depen

Nvidia's China Chip Strategy - Tightrope Walk with Share Price Implications

$NVIDIA(NVDA)$ 's recent efforts to modify its AI chips for export to China, in compliance with tightened U.S. export restrictions, present a complex scenario for its share price. While these moves aim to preserve access to a critical market, the overall impact on the stock is subject to a variety of counteracting forces, making a "significant benefit" uncertain and dependent on numerous factors.   The Modified Chips and Market Access: Facing stringent U.S. export controls aimed at limiting China's access to advanced semiconductor technology, Nvidia has been compelled to design less powerful versions of its AI chips for the Chinese market. Notably, the H20 chip, itself a product of earlier restriction compliance, is reportedly being further d

THE ULTIMATE PLAYBOOK FOR CYBERSECURITY IN THE AI ERA

The first wave of AI was about potential -- what models could do, how fast they could learn, how widely they could scale. But the second wave will be about control. Not just what AI can do, but what it should do, and what happens when it goes off-script. This next chapter isn’t about training smarter agents. It’s about making sure the infrastructure they run on doesn’t collapse under the weight of its own intelligence. Because when machines are making decisions and triggering actions in real time -- across enterprise environments, supply chains, and critical infrastructure -- failure isn’t hypothetical. It’s systemic. And if you zoom out, you’ll realize this isn’t a cybersecurity story. It’s THE story. That’s the shift the market hasn’t priced in. Investors still think of cybersecurity as a

Public Holidays Singapore is closed on Monday, 12 May 2025 as we celebrate Vesak’s Day. There are no public holidays in America, China and Hong Kong. Economic Calendar (12May25) Notable Highlights (some are taken from Grok) Core CPI (MoM) is expected at 0.3% (up from 0.1%), and CPI (YoY) at 2.4%. These inflation figures are critical. If actual numbers exceed forecasts, it may signal rising inflationary pressures, potentially prompting a tighter Federal Reserve stance. CPI (MoM) at 0.3% (previously -0.1%) reinforces this trend. Core Retail Sales (MoM) at 0.3% (down from 0.5%) and Retail Sales (MoM) at 0.1% (down from 1.5%) suggest a slowdown in consumer spending, which could signal weaker economic growth.
