$Wal-Mart(WMT)$ WMT: sold some new shares in WMT to average up my short positions. Opinion that WMT valuation is high with minimal growth and incoming headwinds with tariffs on product imports might dampen the performance on this company. As it stands, WMT somehow wasn't too much impacted by the tariffs based on their chart performance despite the tariffs will certainly impact the price of good that they sell. Guess that's because they were already a mass market store and folks might downgrade their purchased options to WMT.

$WOLF 20250530 2.5 CALL$ I opened $WOLF 20250530 2.5 CALL$  ,WOLF: collect 10% premium with these covered calls with strike at $2.5. Contract expires next Fri on 30th May. News on WOLF broke out that they will be filing for bankruptcy in coming week and WOLF dropped 60% on 21st May as the result to as low as $0.82 before stabilising above $1. Still I've already mark this counter as total loss and won't worth selling whatever left in a panic mode. Stock actually rebounded >100% from bottom of 0.82% to $1.71 now reflecting the extreme volatility at the moment. Even the sold call was drawing up to 10% premium just for 1.5 weeks. 🎉CBA Trader Interview: Tay Chi Keng spotlights Opportunities in China

IntroductionIn 2022, when headlines screamed about China's "un-investable" markets and friends dumped their Chinese tech holdings, I did something radical: I doubled down. Today, my Tencent position sits on 70% unrealized gains, while Alibaba forms the core of my portfolio. This isn't luck, it's the result of a seven-year journey learning to separate fear from opportunity in the world's most misunderstood market. How It All BeganMy investing education began during National Service, where I balanced military duties with analyzing stocks in my bunk. But the real foundation came earlier watching my veteran investor father turn dinner conversations into masterclasses on investing. This unique upbringing shaped my hybrid approach:Value Investing Roots (Buffett/Munger principles)Behavioral Ed

UNH Keeps Sliding: Dare to Buy at $250?

UnitedHealth Group ( $UnitedHealth(UNH)$ ) is taking a beating. After plummeting from a high of $610 late last year to a recent low of $288.57, the stock staged a fleeting three-day rally—only to sink 6% again following HSBC’s downgrade from "Hold" to "Reduce." New CEO Stephen Hemsley, however, isn’t fazed. He scooped up 86,700 shares at $288.57, dropping $25 million to signal his faith in the battered health insurer. With the stock now hovering at $302.25 and down 40.1% year-to-date, investors are at a crossroads: Is $250 a golden ticket, or a trap waiting to spring? What’s Fueling the Freefall? UNH’s descent isn’t random—it’s a cocktail of pain points shaking investor confidence: Earnings Stumble: Q1 2025 brought an earnings miss, with soaring me

Consumer Chaos Unveiled: Can Retail Stocks Survive the Storm?

The retail world is buzzing with tension and opportunity. Target ( $Target(TGT)$ ) just dropped a bombshell, slashing its sales forecast from a hopeful “around 1% growth” to a grim low-single-digit decline. This follows Walmart’s eyebrow-raising warning about potential price hikes tied to tariffs, while Home Depot boldly claims it won’t budge on prices despite the same pressures. Meanwhile, Canada Goose is laughing all the way to the bank, with its stock soaring nearly 20% after a knockout earnings report. What’s driving this wild split in consumer spending, and are retail stocks doomed—or poised for a comeback? Let’s unpack the chaos and find out. Target’s Reality Check: Consumers Are Holding Back Target’s downgrade is more than a hiccup—it’s a gl

Bond market tremors just shook Wall Street. The latest US Treasury auction was, by many accounts, one of the worst on record. Weak demand, higher yields, and a cold reception from foreign buyers all combined into a perfect storm. Now, the question on every investor’s mind: is a market crash next? What Happened? This week’s long-duration Treasury auction came in with a thud. Bidders demanded significantly higher yields to buy US debt, signaling a growing concern over ballooning fiscal deficits, sticky inflation, and potential political instability as the election season heats up. Why It Matters Yields spiking from auction failures don’t just impact bonds. Equities feel the heat too. Higher yields compete with risk assets, pressuring valuations—especially in high-growth tech names. At the sa

After years of being labeled a “search dinosaur,” Alphabet (GOOGL) just smashed through expectations, proving it’s more than just ads and algorithms. With a robust earnings beat and a surprise AI surge, Google has not only broken the so-called “search curse” — it might just be leading the next tech revolution. The question now: can it rocket to $200? The Curse is Lifted For too long, investors saw Google as the one-trick pony of tech — ad-dependent, bureaucratic, and slow to innovate. But recent results flipped the narrative. Google Cloud is growing. AI integration is accelerating. Even YouTube is pulling its weight. The company’s Gemini AI model is finally gaining traction, and it’s being embedded across the entire Google ecosystem. Ad Revenue? Still a Powerhouse. Let’s not forget the cas

Bitcoin just blasted through $110,000 — and as the confetti settles, investors are asking: Is this just the beginning of a Trump-fueled crypto bull run? With President Trump back in the White House, the crypto markets are watching closely — and some would argue, celebrating. His administration’s pro-crypto tilt, skepticism toward centralized digital currencies, and focus on economic “freedom” have reignited bullish sentiment in the blockchain world. Here’s why Trump 2.0 could turbocharge Bitcoin and beyond: 1. Regulation with a Light Touch The Trump administration has already signaled a friendlier stance on crypto, calling for less aggressive SEC crackdowns and clearer frameworks to let innovation flourish. U.S.-based exchanges and DeFi platforms may finally get breathing room. 2. Anti-CBD

BIG TECH WEEKLY | Will NVIDIA Earnings Be Surprise? Google's Coming Back? US In "Triple Kill"?

Big-Tech’s PerformanceWeekly macro storyline: Triple Kill Across Equities, Bonds, and FX – Is Trump Quietly Backing Down? The week began with a series of "black swans": Moody's downgraded the U.S. credit outlook, Japan's government bond auctions saw weak demand, and the U.S. 20-year Treasury auction was poorly received. These were all ripple effects stemming from tariff tensions and hit the market just as the global bond market faces synchronized pressures:Persistent inflation (Japan’s core inflation has remained above the 2% target for two consecutive years),Declining ALM investor demand (as rising interest rates dampen appetite for long-dated bonds),Surging government financing needs (fiscal deficits and debt supply pressure).Rising JGB yields may push U.S. Treasury curves steeper, which
