VIX is at recent low and markets at all time highs. market is also operation at greed status for a while now so there is certainly elements of increased risk taking. US Congress passing of the big beautiful bills most likely will also support the market bullishly and I believe market had also factored the consideration that it will be passed since Republicans control of the house, senate and presidency. $HIMS 20250703 40.0 PUT$ HIMS: collect premiums in full for these cash secured puts when they expired worthless on 3rd July. One of those risky test trades that ended up favourable. HIMS dropped sharply in 23rd June due to NVO partnership being dissolved just months after it was announced. NVO also accused HIMS to be dishonest and selling generic versions of their drugs. Other justification were posted on the reasons I opened this trade. HIMS had found its bottom for now and looks supported. Worst might not be over, but I'm glad I had gained from these initial trades.

$GDX 20250703 58.0 CALL$ GDX: collected premiums in full when these sold calls expired worthless on 3rd July. Still ranged bound between $50 to $55 for last week and these strike was not threatened. Gold prices consolidated and weaknen slightly when the stock market is making all time highs. Still, it didn't break down to lower level indicating still strong demand to the upside. Will continue to monitor and use GDX as proxy for gold trades and also hedge my long portfolio with some short gold positions.

Sold before the robotaxi launch in Texas, and TSLA had a temporary spike up and I thoug This trade is a goner. But Musk being Musk, its fingers don't stop tweeting to wage was against some of the most powerful people in the world so some backlash are bound to happen. Politics aside, and focus on the business ends, the robotaxi launch is still a lackluster event and limited service that will not add into its revenue anytime soon. Continue to be bearish on Tesla but at the right price point as TSLA is still very well loved in some parts of the trading and business community for its innovation

Another batch of calls premium collected after the round of strike adjustment from $45 to $50 for most of my covered calls. SMCI closed $48.56, up about 2% but formed a doji on the weekly candle. $PLTR 20250703 145.0 CALL$ PLTR: collect premiums in full for these short call when they expired worthless on 3rd July. PLTR went as high as $148.22 on 26th July and threatened this sold call with strike of $145. While I was prepared to get assigned and add into my short positions, PLTR gave up some it's its bullish run to close $134.46 on 3rd July so the trade was safe. So far PLTR seems to have formed a temporary top so will see how it trends in the coming weeks, won't mind selling calls at $145 again as well to bet on the stock to be lower or consolidation instead of making new highs.
