🪙Tiger Coins | 🍎 Apple Crushed Earnings—Then Lost Billions. Is the AI Boom Starting to Cannibalise

AI’s Hidden Supply-Chain Cost May Be Reaching Consumer Tech $Apple(AAPL)$ reported strong revenue, record product sales, and better-than-expected earnings. Yet investors sold the stock. The concern was not weak demand. It was whether Apple could secure enough advanced chips, memory, and manufacturing capacity to meet that demand. As companies invest heavily in AI data centres, semiconductor producers are directing more resources toward AI processors, high-bandwidth memory, and advanced packaging. Apple’s latest forecast raises a broader market question: Is the AI boom beginning to squeeze the supply chain for smartphones, computers and other consumer devices? 🐯🪙 Read to the end and share your view — thoughtful market insights may r
🪙Tiger Coins | 🍎 Apple Crushed Earnings—Then Lost Billions. Is the AI Boom Starting to Cannibalise
TOPMHh: I would say A to C. The shortage will not be temporary because use cases will experience exponential growth and supply will always be playing catchup. There are only so many foundries. Whether it is high end AI or everyday consumer tech related chips, chips are needed everywhere. Consumer tech supply will be tight. Tight consumer tech will definitely drive up costs. The performance of all Apple devices is dependent on its chip and Apple will need to pay if it wants to keep performance superior to its competitors. All businesses faced with higher cost prices need to decide if they can accept reduced profit margin or pass it along to their consumers to protect margins. For now, with the sticky ecosystem of Apple, it can afford to raise prices to protect its margins. Afterall, people are used to paying a few hundred dollars for a phone to mow almost $2k. If the price jump is not too ridiculous, I think consumers might be able to reason within themselves to bear the pain for the device.

$ProShares Ultra Silver(AGQ)$  It is a risky trade, but I have started anyway... as I had shared a week or so, I have moved back into AGQ. I took some profits earlier when it was flying. I admit that I should probably move totally to cash on hindsight. But hindsight trading is always easy...  I didn't move to cash because I was not comfortable with USD, simply that. I had shared many times years ago that I see dedollarisation accelerating with the second coming of Trump, and I am still standing by it. USD and USD based debts are no longer safe... Gold and silver are now my preferred currencies. Although the risk of the raise in interest rates are real with the heightened inflation led by the rising oil price, the

TOPbouncee: 62 is the line for me too. If silver clears that, 68-69 on the first push sounds very doable

$Universal Logistics(ULH)$ $Covenant Logistics Grouo Inc(CVLG)$  $ArcBest(ARCB)$  🚛 $ULH Q2 2026 Earnings: GAAP Profits Hide a Weakening Freight Business Universal Logistics reported headline numbers that initially looked outstanding. GAAP EPS surged to $0.99 and operating income climbed to $45.1M. However, almost all of that strength came from a one-off $45.3M gain on the sale of its Kearny, New Jersey property. Strip out the property gain, legal charges and asset impairments, and the picture changes dramatically. Adjusted EPS fell 50% YoY to just $0.16 as the core freight business continued to weaken. Intermodal remains the biggest concern, w

$BIDU-SW(09888)$  $Baidu(BIDU)$  $BIDU-SW(09888)$  Baidu seems to bounce and support level of around 100 and if you look at the charts, it is recent triple bottom. Very good support level. However, I will only add if break this level as I already have a position. I think Baidu is cheap for its price now and good potential moving forward due to Kunlun AI which IPO will boost Baidu share price.  What price will you buy at?

$Li Auto(LI)$ is an interesting company. I am still deciding whether to cut losses or hold.... The positives 1. Strong brand in China Li Auto has built a loyal customer base in the premium SUV segment. Its focus on family vehicles has helped it differentiate itself from many EV competitors. 2. Large cash position The company still has a substantial cash balance, giving it flexibility to invest in new models, AI, and autonomous driving even during a difficult period. 3. New product cycle The refreshed L-series and newer models have been attracting orders, and management expects deliveries to improve as these launches roll out. The concerns The biggest issue is profitability. Earlier this year: * Gross margin fell sharply. * The company reported an op

TOPa9032: I compared Li Auto with Nio and XPeng on Q1 margin too. Li took the hardest hit — can new orders really offset that fast enough?
