Elon: Tesla has the potential to be #1 by a large margin. $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$   BULLISH
Jefferies reiterated a Buy rating on $META and maintained its price target at $715. They wrote: "Expectations for META are reasonable, up 4% since Q3 vs. AMZN +24% & GOOGL +17%. While we see potential near-term downside to FCF estimates as META delivers initial FY25 Capex & Total Expense guides, we believe this would likely be a bottom and that there will be strong returns from these investments. Our ad checks remain bullish on META, and our conversations with teens indicate that TikTok's ban is driving them to IG Reels. Reiterate Buy, PT $715 = 24x our FY26 EPS."
The Saudi Crown Prince has informed President Trump that Saudi Arabia plans to increase its investments and trade with the United States by at least $600 billion over the next four years. Between this and the $500 billion in AI-capex investments from Stargate that was announced yesterday, President Trump has secured $1.1 trillion in new investments in the U.S. over the next four years.
Twilio $TWLO announced a strong outlook at its Investor Day, sharing preliminary Q4 2024 results with 11% YoY revenue growth and projecting $119 billion in revenue by 2028. The company exceeded its prior guidance for non-GAAP operating income, maintained its 2024 free cash flow expectations, and reaffirmed a confident 2027 profit forecast. Additionally, Twilio introduced a $2 billion share repurchase program, underscoring its commitment to long-term growth and profitability. $TWLO was up 15% after hours.
The Cleveland Fed’s New Tenant Repeat Rent Index fell sharply into negative territory at -2.43%, its largest drop since the financial crisis in 2010. This signals easing inflationary pressures and potential relief in rent-driven CPI. However, it may also indicate weaker housing demand and broader economic slowdown concerns. While beneficial for tenants, the decline could pressure landlords and real estate investors and may foreshadow broader economic challenges if tied to reduced consumer confidence. Investors expect Fed Chair Jerome Powell to address this at the FOMC meeting on January 29th and discuss its implications for inflation cooling down, potentially leading to rate cuts.

Prices have surged approximately 240% over the past three years, according to UxC. Interest in nuclear power has grown rapidly as companies and governments seek carbon-free energy solutions for powering data centers. Major firms like Amazon $AMZN and Microsoft $MSFT are exploring nuclear fuel to support their AI data center operations, highlighting nuclear power as a key energy source for the future. Nuclear companies benefited today, with $NNE up 17% and $OKLO up 14%.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has disclosed Bitcoin holdings valued between $1 million and $5 million through Fidelity Crypto. A vocal advocate for Bitcoin, he has referred to it as the "currency of freedom," emphasizing its potential as a hedge against inflation and economic instability. $BTC ETFs saw $1B+ of inflows over the past two days.
ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, plans to spend over 150 billion yuan ($20.6 billion) in 2025, with half allocated abroad on AI infrastructure such as data centers and networking, according to Reuters. Key beneficiaries of this investment include $NVDA Nvidia, Huawei, and Cambricon. ByteDance, a leader in China's AI race with over 15 AI-powered apps like the chatbot Doubao (75M monthly users), still trails U.S. tech giants like $GOOGL Alphabet ($50B) and $MSFT Microsoft ($80B) in planned AI spending.
The SEC has repealed SAB 121, paving the way for banks to custody crypto assets. This significant development allows both major institutions like JPMorgan $JPM and smaller entities like $SOFI SoFi to offer secure storage solutions for cryptocurrencies, catering to institutional clients, retail investors, and businesses seeking trusted custodians for digital assets. Sixteen years after Bitcoin's inception in 2009, this move opens the door for widespread participation in the crypto economy, marking a pivotal moment for assets like $BTC Bitcoin, $ETH Ethereum, and $SOL Solana, as well as platforms like $HOOD Robinhood and $COIN Coinbase.
The Bank of Japan raised interest rates by 0.25%, bringing them to the highest level in 17 years. While a similar move in August 2024 triggered a sharp market selloff due to traders covering massive yen short positions, this time the impact is expected to be muted. CFTC data shows the yen short float peaked in July, with traders already deleveraging in anticipation of a hike. Additionally, the strong U.S. Dollar Index (DXY), near 2022 levels, could benefit from this, as higher rates abroad may help balance currency strength, improving the U.S. trade deficit. The USD/JPY remains largely unchanged in response.
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives raised Palantir’s $PLTR price target to a Wall Street-high of $90, citing strong confidence in the company's AI strategy, which positions it as a leader in the growing AI market. The analyst likened Palantir to becoming the next $ORCL Oracle or $CRM Salesforce, with its AIP platform emerging as a foundational tool for enterprises adopting AI. Palantir’s expanding commercial and federal customer base underscores its competitive moat and potential to generate over $1 billion in AIP U.S. commercial revenue in the coming years. Wedbush maintains an "Outperform" rating, emphasizing Palantir as a top pick for 2025.
President Trump has signed two Executive Orders focused on crypto: one to develop a "national digital asset stockpile" and another to create a "crypto working group," marking his first steps in addressing cryptocurrency policy. He also signed an Executive Order to declassify secret records related to the assassinations of JFK and Martin Luther King Jr., promising long-hidden transparency. In his Davos speech, Trump called for global interest rate cuts, urged Saudi Arabia and OPEC to lower oil prices to help end the Russia-Ukraine war, pledged to end DEI initiatives in favor of a merit-based system, and proposed increasing NATO defense spending to 5% of GDP.
Tesla $TSLA has officially launched the new Model Y in the U.S., starting with the exclusive "Launch Series." Priced at $59,990 for the Long Range AWD version, this edition includes Full Self-Driving (FSD). Addtionally, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon thinks Elon Musk is a modern-day Albert Einstein, saying: “The guy is our Einstein. I’d like to be helpful to him and his companies as much as we can; Elon and I hugged it out. He came to one of our conferences. He and I had a nice, long chat. We settled some of our differences.”
THE BANK OF JAPAN RAISES RATES BY 0.25%, NOW TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL IN 17 YEARS. The last time this happened in August of 2024, we had the Yen-Carry trade which spiked the $VIX up 600% in a day and caused equities to fall from 20-30%. The reason for this was because traders were short the Yen to the tune of trillions of dollars and they had to cover their short by selling stocks. Two reasons why Japan raising rates is not a big deal, and potentially a good thing: - Yen Short float peaked in July as per CFTC data, everyone knew Japan would hike rates again and began deleveraging - The USD $DXY is very strong, almost at 2022 levels. We need it to come down a bit, so one of the best ways for it come down...is if other countries raise rates to strengthen their currencies against the Dollar. A st

Will Elon Tesla compensation be approve ?

IMO Delaware Supreme Court will overturn the Tornetta v Musk ruling on appeal before year-end. Chancellor McCormick can’t just ignore two $TSLA shareholder votes approving Elon’s comp plan to overcome the law. I am sure the justices on the DE Supreme Court hate the drama and theatrics of McCormick’s DE Chancery Court being played out on LinkedIn and other social media. We just have to be patient and let the legal process play out.
