Nio earlier said the EWVTA certification \"marks an essential foundation for NIO's entry into Norway and the European market at large.\"\nThe company has not disclosed the pricing of the ES8 SUV, which will have a range of about 400 km to 500 km on the WLTP cycle and is aimed at the premium segment.\nNio will follow up with the ET7 sedan, seen as a rival to Tesla Inc Model S, with a launch next year.\nEurope will be a testing ground not just for Nio but its other Chinese EV rivals who have set sight on the region where global automakers such as Volkswagen AG , Tesla, and others have a formidable presence.\nNio's rival Xpeng Inc has been shipping electric vehicles to Norway since December and plans to driveexpansionplans in Europe, followed by the U.S.\nPrice Action:Nio shares closed 5.89% higher at $46.77 on Wednesday.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9,"VWAGY":0.9,"XPEV":0.9,"NIO":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1016,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":177692270,"gmtCreate":1627205553090,"gmtModify":1703485547736,"author":{"id":"3582022452047945","authorId":"3582022452047945","name":"tucktan78","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/7e6a5919ad6401dac07bda04522a83e7","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582022452047945","idStr":"3582022452047945"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"Good","listText":"Good","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/177692270","repostId":"2153334679","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2153334679","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1627293365,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2153334679?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-26 17:56","market":"us","language":"en","title":"SpaceX lands NASA launch contract for mission to Jupiter's moon Europa","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2153334679","media":"Reuters","summary":"Elon Musk's private rocket company SpaceX was awarded a $178 million launch services contract for NA","content":"
Elon Musk's private rocket company SpaceX was awarded a $178 million launch services contract for NASA's first mission focusing on Jupiter's icy moon Europa and whether it may host conditions suitable for life, the space agency said on Friday.
\n
The Europa Clipper mission is due for blastoff in October 2024 on a Falcon Heavy rocket owned by Musk's company, Space Exploration Technologies Corp, from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, NASA said in a statement posted online.
\n
The contract marked NASA's latest vote of confidence in the Hawthorne, California-based company, which has carried several cargo payloads and astronauts to the International Space Station for NASA in recent years.
\n
In April, SpaceX was awarded a $2.9 billion contract to build the lunar lander spacecraft for the planned Artemis program that would carry NASA astronauts back to the moon for the first time since 1972.
\n
But that contract was suspended after two rival space companies, Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin and defense contractor Dynetics Inc, protested against the SpaceX selection.
\n
The company's partly reusable 23-story Falcon Heavy, currently the most powerful operational space launch vehicle in the world, flew its first commercial payload into orbit in 2019.
\n
NASA did not say what other companies may have bid on the Europa Clipper launch contract.
\n
The probe is to conduct a detailed survey of the ice-covered Jovian satellite, which is a bit smaller than Earth's moon and is a leading candidate in the search for life elsewhere in the solar system.
\n
A bend in Europa's magnetic field observed by NASA's Galileo spacecraft in 1997 appeared to have been caused by a geyser gushing through the moon's frozen crust from a vast subsurface ocean, researchers concluded in 2018. Investors in China have been shaken in recent weeks by a slew of regulations targeting sectors ranging from gaming to education Sovereign wealth funds are not immune but, given their long-term investment outlook, they are not expected to pull back from a bet that China will provide the engine of global growth for years to come. \"Long-term investors like sovereign funds won't adjust their allocation to the second-largest economy down to zero overnight,\" said Winston Ma, former managing director of China Investment Corp, Beijing's own sovereign fund. \"Their strategic asset allocation cannot be that tactical.\" Norway's fund, the world's largest, has 4.5% of all investments in China and Hong Kong. Singapore's Temasek Holdings in June bought 33 million American Depository Receipts in Didi Global Inc , before regulators announced a probe of the ride-hailing company that the city of Beijing is now considering taking under state control, according to a Bloomberg News report on Friday Several funds have positions in giant Alibaba Group Holding , whose shares are down 30% year-to-date, and New Oriental Education & Technology Group Inc , which has tumbled 88%. Chinese companies have been caught in a pincer this year, with increasing U.S. scrutiny on one side and a domestic regulatory crackdown on the country's massive internet sector. ONSHORE STRATEGIES In a sign of recent wariness, sovereign funds pulled $2.35 billion from onshore China A-shares equity strategies managed by third-party fund managers in the second quarter, the most since at least 2017, showed eVestment data. But that may prove temporary. Several were considering setting up standalone exposure to China within equities and fixed income, said Elliot Hentov, head of policy research at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA). \"The regulatory push has accelerated such considerations given that China policy is now running acyclically compared to other EM countries,\" he said. Chinese equities should form a much larger chunk of global equity portfolios - potentially as much as 50% of the weighting in MSCI's emerging market index once A-shares are fully represented. Next month, China will be added to the FTSE World Government Bond Index, setting it up for potential inflows of some $130 billion. ESG RISK Like other investors, sovereign funds have become used to political risks in China, with flare-ups between the United States and China weighing on equity markets in recent years. Similarly, environmental, social and governance $(ESG.UK)$ issues have also undermined sentiment. A recent Invesco survey highlighted that 45% of sovereign funds saw lack of ESG data as a challenge to investing. \"We believe this (regulatory action) could be positive for sovereign funds investing in China,\" said Rod Ringrow, Invesco's head of official institutions. The regulatory crackdown was being waged to build a prosperous economy, fight against monopolies and protect workers, state-backed tabloid Global Times said last week DEALS There has also been a stepping up in deals within private markets, including property, specifically offices, logistics and rental housing, where Beijing has been wooing capital to help provide accommodation. Sovereign funds closed 26 deals at a value of $2.8 billion year-to-date, compared with $4.9 billion via 28 deals across all of 2020, Global SWF data showed. PitchBook data showed funds participated in a record 25 venture capital deals in China and Hong Kong year to date. CBRE has already seen a more than threefold increase in property transaction volume from sovereign funds, reaching 10.6 billion yuan ($1.6 billion) in 2020, up from 3 billion yuan in 2019. \"We expect more SWFs to increase their allocation to China, riding on confidence in its mid-to-long term economic growth trends like continued urbanisation and consumption growth,\" said Greg Hyland, CBRE's Asia Pacific head of capital markets. The results are key for the stock to continue the momentum it has recently shown.\nApple Q3 Consensus Estimates:Analysts, on average, estimate Apple will report third-quarter earnings per share of $1 on revenue of $72.93 billion.\nThe Street estimates are conservative, Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives said in a note last week.\nThe analyst predicates his positive expectations on the iPhone strength seen during the quarter, with a particular uptick in demand out of China.\nFamed Apple analyst and Loup Funds managing partner Gene Munster pencils EPS of $1.04 and revenue of $73.3 million.\nIn the year-ago quarter, the company reported EPS of 64 cents and revenue of $59.69 billion. In theprevious quarter,the metrics were at $1.40 and $89.6 million, respectively.\nMunster Sees Accelerating iPhone Momentum:Apple's flagship iPhone is likely to benefit from early 5G adoption, an aging base of iPhones three years old or older and the positive impact from stimulus checks in the U.S., Munster said.\nHe expects 33% year-over-year growth in iPhone revenue to $35.2 billion vis-à-vis the consensus estimate of $34.2 billion.\nLast week, UBS analyst David Vogt raised his iPhone unit forecast from 42 million to 44 million and the ASP estimate by 2% to $825. In the U.S., the analyst sees aggressive promotions from U.S. carriers helping iPhone numbers. Upside to estimates is limited by macro supply chain issues and not demand, the analyst said.\nMac, iPad Bear Brunt Of Component Shortage:Mac and iPad revenue growth is likely to moderate from the frenetic pace seen in the March quarter, as component shortages serve as a drag. Munster expects Mac sales to rise 13% to $8 billion and iPad sales at $7.2 billion, a slowdown in growth from 79% in the March quarter to 9%.\nServices Growth Settles Around Mid-Teens:The Services segment, which accounts for roughly one-fifth of Apple's revenues, may have grown revenue by 18%, according to Munster.\nThis is a slowdown from the 27% growth witnessed in the March quarter.\n\"Long-term, we expect growth to remain around 15% consistently as Apple continues to layer on more Services, including recently announced Apple Fitness+ and its podcast marketplace,\" Munster wrote in a note.\nLooking Ahead:For the September quarter, analysts are modeling in EPS of $1.11 and revenues of $81.03 billion. Full-year EPS and revenues are estimated at $5.18 and $354.61 billion, respectively.\nUBS analyst Vogt models iPhone unit sales of 227 million for fiscal year 2021.\nMunster is of the view Apple will remain a growth story for the foreseeable future. Over the next two-plus years, the company will benefit from the digital transformation that is in play, 5G enthusiasm and growing anticipation of new business segments, he said.\nThe three biggest untapped markets, Munster said, are AR/MR, wellness, and the opportunity around autonomy with the Apple Car.\nApple shares will approach $200 over the next couple of years, he added.\nWedbush named Apple as its large cap tech name to play the 5G transformational cycle, with the one-two punch of its massive services business and iPhone product cycle translating into a $3-trillion market cap in 2022.\nApple Shares Wakes Up From 1H Slumber:Apple shares ended the first half of 2021 up merely 3.6% despite stellar fundamental performance. The company underperformed most of its FAANG peers.\nThe shares picked up momentum at the start of the July, and on July 15, hit an all-time intraday high of $150. After a minor pullback, the stock is closing in on its record high.\nApple shares gained 0.29% Monday, closing at $148.99.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AAPL":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":976,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
