Is this dip worth buying? And if so, what’s the best stock to own and/or trade?</p><p><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/RGTI\">Rigetti Computing, Inc.</a>, the first quantum stock I covered, continues to offer the highest return potential, but it’s also very risky.</p><h2 id=\"id_4135306283\">Jensen Disses Quantum, Then Announces Quantum Day</h2><p>The Nvidia CEO has been at the center of numerous headlines in the last week. Jensen’s keynote speech at CES in Las Vegas gave analysts and investors a lot to talk about. Not only did he unveil numerous exciting advances and new products from Nvidia, but the CEO also took the time to address the next hot thing after AI; quantum computing.</p><blockquote><p>Very useful quantum computers are still a few decades away</p></blockquote><p>Source: Jensen Huang, Observer.</p><p>That pretty much sums up his message perfectly. An idea that was even later echoed by Meta Platforms&#39; (META) CEO, Mark Zuckerberg:</p><blockquote><p>I’m not really an expert on quantum computing, but my understanding is that it’s still quite a ways off from being a truly practical paradigm,</p></blockquote><p>Source: Mark Zuckerberg, Benzinga.</p><p>But the quantum dip did not last long, and most quantum stocks bounced back on Tuesday, following Nvidia’s announcement that it would be hosting a Quantum day.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/cc6b7f4e858e3d42b486772027a2faa8\" alt=\"QTUM Price And Events\" title=\"QTUM Price And Events\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"691\"/><span>QTUM Price And Events</span></p><p>Almost to the hour, the announcement by Jensen marked the top, and then the announcement of Quantum Day marked the bottom.</p><h2 id=\"id_3676663984\">What Can We Expect At Quantum Day?</h2><p>So what is Quantum Day? As far as we know, Jensen Huang will be speaking with some main players in the quantum industry at GTC 2025 on Thursday, the 20th of March.</p><p>According to the company’s release, this will include sessions discussing the current state and future of quantum, a developer day, outlining how patterns are working with Nvidia to move the industry forward, educational sessions, and a Quantum Day special address.</p><p>The timing of this announcement is definitely interesting, as it shortly followed the not so positive comments Jensen made at CES, but I am not surprised.</p><p>As I wrote about in my first quantum related article, where I discussed Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) breakthrough in quantum computing, AI and quantum computing should one day be intimately related.</p><p>It will, in fact, be up to quantum computing to provide the necessary hardware to take AI to the next level. Nvidia showed at CES that it continues to be at the forefront of AI innovation, and I’m therefore not surprised that the company is hosting a quantum day.</p><h2 id=\"id_2469438332\">Rigetti Has The Most Upside, But I’d Only Trade It</h2><p>So for those looking to buy the quantum dip, what’s the best way to go about it?</p><p>Well, the best way will depend on each person’s approach to investing. I will discuss below what I see as the option with the most upside, and then also briefly talk about the best quantum investment.</p><p>The stock with the most potential is, of course, Rigetti. This can be argued first and foremost due to recent price action and technical outlook.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/e0f4468e5d8b00a12cb30da0f4e21d6f\" alt=\"RGTI and peers price action (Tradingview)\" title=\"RGTI and peers price action (Tradingview)\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"690\"/><span>RGTI and peers price action (Tradingview)</span></p><p>Since quantum stocks began to take off in December, RGTI has performed the best, up at one point over 700%.</p><p>One of the reasons for this is very likely the amount of short interest.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/97f62a47d514500af24f456defd6600c\" alt=\"Risk Metrics (SA)\" title=\"Risk Metrics (SA)\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"326\"/><span>Risk Metrics (SA)</span></p><p>Rigetti has a 16.01% short interest, which is on the high end, surpassed only by D-Wave Quantum (QBTS)</p><p>Both RGTI and QBTS have weaker balance sheets than IonQ (IONQ) and Quantum Computing (QUBT), so this could perhaps be the reason there’s more shorting.</p><p>Moreover, we could also argue that RGTI has some more enticing upcoming catalysts. According to their roadmap, the company expects to develop a 100-qubit computer by the end of the year.</p><blockquote><p>The company plans to introduce a new modular system architecture in 2025, to release a 36-qubit system by mid-year and a system with over 100 qubits by the end of 2025.</p></blockquote><p>Source: Quantumzeitgeist.</p><h2 id=\"id_3736871724\">When To Buy And Sell RGTI (Technical Analysis)</h2><p>Let’s take a look at the chart.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/07eb7363b5ebc9961ab69a7c1f6a48aa\" alt=\"RGTI TA (Trendspider)\" title=\"RGTI TA (Trendspider)\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"722\"/><span>RGTI TA (Trendspider)</span></p><p>I’d consider what we are seeing here like a pretty clear five-wave impulse per Elliott Wave Theory, and I believe that we still have one more high left in a wave 5.</p><p>Let’s remember that in Elliott Wave, each wave also marks a different stage in the market cycle, marked by the changing psychology of traders.</p><p>In wave 4, where we are now, the early investors begin to take profits. Then, we get a final wave 5, where the investment becomes mainstream, and optimism reaches a fever pitch.</p><p>However, this is where the latecomers become the exit liquidity for those early investors.</p><p>With the Nvidia event happening on March 25th, there’s certainly room for some further excitement around quantum and new highs.</p><p>In terms of buying, we may have already bottomed in wave 4, after closing in on the 0.236 fib level. There’s definitely a lot of support at $2-3 with the 200 EMA and some previous volume, but I fear if we go that deep, the momentum will die.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d1e72588ba701663fdae71f1d80285dd\" alt=\"RGTI PT (Trendspider)\" title=\"RGTI PT (Trendspider)\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"710\"/><span>RGTI PT (Trendspider)</span></p><p>Ideally, we go up from here, and perhaps re-test the recent lows at $6. Based on the inverse of the wave 4, which we find by measuring from the top of wave 3 to the bottom of wave 4, we could project the next wave 5 to reach the 1.618 ext, just above $31.</p><h2 id=\"id_4198276974\">Closing Remarks</h2><p>But quantum investing continues to be very risky, and even the CEO of Rigetti recently came out to tamper expectations.</p><blockquote><p>Particularly because of the hype that is going on in the quantum computing space and some erroneous statements are being made, including by people in the industry, we have to tamp down some expectations</p></blockquote><p>Source: Kulkarni, Yahoo Finance.</p><p>Personally, I would suggest those interested in gaining long-term exposure, get some by purchasing the Defiance Quantum ETF (QTUM), which I covered recently. Alternatively, large tech companies like Google and IBM (IBM) are also working on thesis technology.</p><p>I advise caution, but for those looking to make money fast, Rigetti is the way to go. Jensen’s keynote speech at CES in Las Vegas gave analysts and investors a lot to talk about. Not only did he unveil numerous exciting advances and new products from Nvidia, but the CEO also took the time to address the next hot thing after AI; quantum computing.Very useful quantum computers are still a few decades awaySource: Jensen Huang, Observer.That pretty much sums up his message perfectly. An idea that was even later echoed by Meta Platforms' (META) CEO, Mark Zuckerberg:I’m not really an expert on quantum computing, but my understanding is that it’s still quite a ways off from being a truly practical paradigm,Source: Mark Zuckerberg, Benzinga.But the quantum dip did not last long, and most quantum stocks bounced back on Tuesday, following Nvidia’s announcement that it would be hosting a Quantum day.QTUM Price And EventsAlmost to the hour, the announcement by Jensen marked the top, and then the announcement of Quantum Day marked the bottom.What Can We Expect At Quantum Day?So what is Quantum Day? As far as we know, Jensen Huang will be speaking with some main players in the quantum industry at GTC 2025 on Thursday, the 20th of March.According to the company’s release, this will include sessions discussing the current state and future of quantum, a developer day, outlining how patterns are working with Nvidia to move the industry forward, educational sessions, and a Quantum Day special address.The timing of this announcement is definitely interesting, as it shortly followed the not so positive comments Jensen made at CES, but I am not surprised.As I wrote about in my first quantum related article, where I discussed Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) breakthrough in quantum computing, AI and quantum computing should one day be intimately related.It will, in fact, be up to quantum computing to provide the necessary hardware to take AI to the next level. Nvidia showed at CES that it continues to be at the forefront of AI innovation, and I’m therefore not surprised that the company is hosting a quantum day.Rigetti Has The Most Upside, But I’d Only Trade ItSo for those looking to buy the quantum dip, what’s the best way to go about it?Well, the best way will depend on each person’s approach to investing. I will discuss below what I see as the option with the most upside, and then also briefly talk about the best quantum investment.The stock with the most potential is, of course, Rigetti. This can be argued first and foremost due to recent price action and technical outlook.RGTI and peers price action (Tradingview)Since quantum stocks began to take off in December, RGTI has performed the best, up at one point over 700%.One of the reasons for this is very likely the amount of short interest.Risk Metrics (SA)Rigetti has a 16.01% short interest, which is on the high end, surpassed only by D-Wave Quantum (QBTS)Both RGTI and QBTS have weaker balance sheets than IonQ (IONQ) and Quantum Computing (QUBT), so this could perhaps be the reason there’s more shorting.Moreover, we could also argue that RGTI has some more enticing upcoming catalysts. According to their roadmap, the company expects to develop a 100-qubit computer by the end of the year.The company plans to introduce a new modular system architecture in 2025, to release a 36-qubit system by mid-year and a system with over 100 qubits by the end of 2025.Source: Quantumzeitgeist.When To Buy And Sell RGTI (Technical Analysis)Let’s take a look at the chart.RGTI TA (Trendspider)I’d consider what we are seeing here like a pretty clear five-wave impulse per Elliott Wave Theory, and I believe that we still have one more high left in a wave 5.Let’s remember that in Elliott Wave, each wave also marks a different stage in the market cycle, marked by the changing psychology of traders.In wave 4, where we are now, the early investors begin to take profits. Then, we get a final wave 5, where the investment becomes mainstream, and optimism reaches a fever pitch.However, this is where the latecomers become the exit liquidity for those early investors.With the Nvidia event happening on March 25th, there’s certainly room for some further excitement around quantum and new highs.In terms of buying, we may have already bottomed in wave 4, after closing in on the 0.236 fib level. There’s definitely a lot of support at $2-3 with the 200 EMA and some previous volume, but I fear if we go that deep, the momentum will die.RGTI PT (Trendspider)Ideally, we go up from here, and perhaps re-test the recent lows at $6. Based on the inverse of the wave 4, which we find by measuring from the top of wave 3 to the bottom of wave 4, we could project the next wave 5 to reach the 1.618 ext, just above $31.Closing RemarksBut quantum investing continues to be very risky, and even the CEO of Rigetti recently came out to tamper expectations.Particularly because of the hype that is going on in the quantum computing space and some erroneous statements are being made, including by people in the industry, we have to tamp down some expectationsSource: Kulkarni, Yahoo Finance.Personally, I would suggest those interested in gaining long-term exposure, get some by purchasing the Defiance Quantum ETF (QTUM), which I covered recently. Alternatively, large tech companies like Google and IBM (IBM) are also working on thesis technology.I advise caution, but for those looking to make money fast, Rigetti is the way to go. The price people are willing to pay — because everyone wants a chicken — goes up and you make more money.</p><p>Sometimes supplies are short. Perhaps your fellow chicken farmers had some bad luck with bird flu and they have fewer chickens for sale. If supplies are short and demand is strong, then you make more money.</p><p>There may be times when you make far more money than it cost you to raise your chickens. A windfall, if you will. People get angry with you for making more money at their expense. They may demand that you lower your price for your chickens, even though that price is being set at the auction.</p><p>Then there may be times when there is a bumper crop of chickens, but because of changing preferences, the public has decided to eat fish. Perhaps there is a widespread belief that the future belongs to the fish farmers.</p><p>You take your chickens to market, but you get far less for them than it cost you to raise them. You lose a lot of money. If you lose too much, you decide to exit the chicken business. This is going to impact chicken supplies in the future. But hey, as long as everyone is eating fish, no problem, right?</p><p>Whom did you gouge in this process? Sure, there are times when chicken prices were high and you were making a lot of money at the expense of your fellow citizens.</p><p>But that’s because people in that chicken market were all trying to get chicken. They were competitively bidding up to what they were willing to pay, not shelling out more because you decided to sharply raise the price of chicken.</p><p>Of course, it’s even worse if they don’t have any alternatives. But it’s not you, the chicken farmer, who is taking advantage of people. If anything, those buying chicken could complain about the way chickens are sold.</p><p><b>Envisioning A Different Model</b></p><p>Perhaps there is a different way of selling chickens that will allow the farmer to earn a profit, and the customer to pay a “fair” price. Let’s say you decide you don’t need to make so much money and you decide to sell your chickens based on how much it cost you to raise them.</p><p>I can predict two things based on this model.</p><p>First, there will be those who will buy them and then simply turn around and sell them at the chicken auction. The supply and demand-based profit margin will move from you to them.</p><p>Another way to think about this is to think about your home. Let’s say prices in your neighborhood have soared. Instead of selling the home you bought for $200,000 at market value — which, let’s say, is $600,000 — you decide you don’t need to make that much money. You are content to sell your home for $250,000. Buyers will immediately pounce on your home, which is still valued at $600,000. You just gave the profit margin on your home to someone else, who can buy your home for $250,000 and sell it for $600,000.</p><p>Second, there will still be times when chicken prices plummet. Neighbors who may have been happy to pay you a small profit margin for your chickens when market prices were high will be far less willing to pay you over market for your chickens if the price falls.</p><p>When the chicken price plunges, they will buy at the chicken market, and you will be forced to lower your prices. You will still lose money, but now you will have less profit in other years to offset those losses.</p><p><b>That’s How Oil Is Priced</b></p><p>This analogy should give you an idea of how the oil and gas markets work. It’s also how many other commodities (like wheat and copper) are priced.</p><p>The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted supply chains in many of these commodities, which reduced supplies. That is the biggest reason why the prices of so many commodities soared, and this was a major factor fueling inflation.</p><p>Yes, this leads to huge profits for some of these companies, but there are other times when prices cut the other direction.</p><p>In a recent <i>Forbes</i> article, I noted that <b>ExxonMobil</b> (NYSE: XOM) made $25.8 billion in the past 12 months. People are outraged. But in 2020, the company lost $22.4 billion, and many smaller oil producers went bankrupt.</p><p>The people outraged about their profits today didn’t care about all those 2020 bankruptcies. Yet those bankruptcies from 2020 helped set the stage for supply shortages today.</p><p>We could change the way oil and gas are priced (or we could ration supplies), but there would be consequences. For example, Venezuela holds the price of gasoline well below market value for its citizens. But that has effectively destroyed the country’s oil industry.</p><p>Perhaps there is another way. It would also have to protect vital industries when prices crash. Here&#39;s where support may be.</p><p>Palantir stock has been on fire over the past month: From the May 4 low to this week’s high, the shares more than doubled (up 135%).</p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">A chunk of those gains stemmed from the data-integration company’s May 8 earnings report, released just a few days after the shares had bottomed.</p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">The top- and bottom-line beat of analyst estimates and the better-than-expected guidance ignited a rally, sending Palantir stock more than 23% higher in a single session.</p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">But over and above Palantir&#39;s earnings results, the surge in AI stocks has also played a role in the stock&#39;s surge.</p><p>Nvidia, C3.ai, Advanced Micro Devices  (AMD) and others have enjoyed a surge that has carried other stocks higher — like Palantir — as they too have exposure to artificial intelligence.</p><p>With Palantir shares rallying 11% at one point on Wednesday but closed lower almost<em> </em>5%, one must ask if the stock has run out of steam.</p><h2 style=\"text-align: start;\">Has Palantir Stock Run Out of Bullish Momentum?</h2><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d43b7c3470c852597d4d66bafa390b26\" alt=\"Daily chart of Palantir stock.\" title=\"Daily chart of Palantir stock.\" tg-width=\"1200\" tg-height=\"872\"/><span>Daily chart of Palantir stock.</span></p><p>Wednesday’s action should give bulls some pause as it suggests that Palantir stock needs a rest. </p><p style=\"text-align: start;\"><em>Real Money&#39;s</em> Bruce Kamich impressively called for profit taking earlier this week and that timing was quite good. </p><p>The move today in technical-speak is known as a reversal. Palantir stock initially traded higher on the day — quite a bit higher — before reversing back down and breaking below the prior day’s high. Once it lost the $15.70 to $15.50 area and turned red on the day, that put the sellers in control.</p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">The most pessimistic of the bears would argue that the stock has topped. But the control for the past month has been in favor of the bulls.</p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">Specifically, if buyers can remain in control, they will likely try to defend the rising 10-day moving average. That measure is currently near $14.20 but is rising quickly.</p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">If that area falters, then the 21-day moving average and daily VWAP measures are likely the next areas of focus for the bulls. Notably, those measures come into play near the 50% retracement.</p><p>However, they are also rising quickly, so if a pullback takes a little time, they may rise somewhere closer to the 38.2% retracement (which is at $13.39).</p><p style=\"text-align: start;\">No one knows if Palantir stock just put in some type of notable top. We’ll know that in a few months. Palantir stock initially traded higher on the day — quite a bit higher — before reversing back down and breaking below the prior day’s high. Once it lost the $15.70 to $15.50 area and turned red on the day, that put the sellers in control.The most pessimistic of the bears would argue that the stock has topped. But the control for the past month has been in favor of the bulls.Specifically, if buyers can remain in control, they will likely try to defend the rising 10-day moving average. That measure is currently near $14.20 but is rising quickly.If that area falters, then the 21-day moving average and daily VWAP measures are likely the next areas of focus for the bulls. Notably, those measures come into play near the 50% retracement.However, they are also rising quickly, so if a pullback takes a little time, they may rise somewhere closer to the 38.2% retracement (which is at $13.39).No one knows if Palantir stock just put in some type of notable top. We’ll know that in a few months. Is this dip worth buying? And if so, what’s the best stock to own and/or trade?</p><p><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/RGTI\">Rigetti Computing, Inc.</a>, the first quantum stock I covered, continues to offer the highest return potential, but it’s also very risky.</p><h2 id=\"id_4135306283\">Jensen Disses Quantum, Then Announces Quantum Day</h2><p>The Nvidia CEO has been at the center of numerous headlines in the last week. Jensen’s keynote speech at CES in Las Vegas gave analysts and investors a lot to talk about. Not only did he unveil numerous exciting advances and new products from Nvidia, but the CEO also took the time to address the next hot thing after AI; quantum computing.</p><blockquote><p>Very useful quantum computers are still a few decades away</p></blockquote><p>Source: Jensen Huang, Observer.</p><p>That pretty much sums up his message perfectly. An idea that was even later echoed by Meta Platforms&#39; (META) CEO, Mark Zuckerberg:</p><blockquote><p>I’m not really an expert on quantum computing, but my understanding is that it’s still quite a ways off from being a truly practical paradigm,</p></blockquote><p>Source: Mark Zuckerberg, Benzinga.</p><p>But the quantum dip did not last long, and most quantum stocks bounced back on Tuesday, following Nvidia’s announcement that it would be hosting a Quantum day.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/cc6b7f4e858e3d42b486772027a2faa8\" alt=\"QTUM Price And Events\" title=\"QTUM Price And Events\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"691\"/><span>QTUM Price And Events</span></p><p>Almost to the hour, the announcement by Jensen marked the top, and then the announcement of Quantum Day marked the bottom.</p><h2 id=\"id_3676663984\">What Can We Expect At Quantum Day?</h2><p>So what is Quantum Day? As far as we know, Jensen Huang will be speaking with some main players in the quantum industry at GTC 2025 on Thursday, the 20th of March.</p><p>According to the company’s release, this will include sessions discussing the current state and future of quantum, a developer day, outlining how patterns are working with Nvidia to move the industry forward, educational sessions, and a Quantum Day special address.</p><p>The timing of this announcement is definitely interesting, as it shortly followed the not so positive comments Jensen made at CES, but I am not surprised.</p><p>As I wrote about in my first quantum related article, where I discussed Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) breakthrough in quantum computing, AI and quantum computing should one day be intimately related.</p><p>It will, in fact, be up to quantum computing to provide the necessary hardware to take AI to the next level. Nvidia showed at CES that it continues to be at the forefront of AI innovation, and I’m therefore not surprised that the company is hosting a quantum day.</p><h2 id=\"id_2469438332\">Rigetti Has The Most Upside, But I’d Only Trade It</h2><p>So for those looking to buy the quantum dip, what’s the best way to go about it?</p><p>Well, the best way will depend on each person’s approach to investing. I will discuss below what I see as the option with the most upside, and then also briefly talk about the best quantum investment.</p><p>The stock with the most potential is, of course, Rigetti. This can be argued first and foremost due to recent price action and technical outlook.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/e0f4468e5d8b00a12cb30da0f4e21d6f\" alt=\"RGTI and peers price action (Tradingview)\" title=\"RGTI and peers price action (Tradingview)\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"690\"/><span>RGTI and peers price action (Tradingview)</span></p><p>Since quantum stocks began to take off in December, RGTI has performed the best, up at one point over 700%.</p><p>One of the reasons for this is very likely the amount of short interest.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/97f62a47d514500af24f456defd6600c\" alt=\"Risk Metrics (SA)\" title=\"Risk Metrics (SA)\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"326\"/><span>Risk Metrics (SA)</span></p><p>Rigetti has a 16.01% short interest, which is on the high end, surpassed only by D-Wave Quantum (QBTS)</p><p>Both RGTI and QBTS have weaker balance sheets than IonQ (IONQ) and Quantum Computing (QUBT), so this could perhaps be the reason there’s more shorting.</p><p>Moreover, we could also argue that RGTI has some more enticing upcoming catalysts. According to their roadmap, the company expects to develop a 100-qubit computer by the end of the year.</p><blockquote><p>The company plans to introduce a new modular system architecture in 2025, to release a 36-qubit system by mid-year and a system with over 100 qubits by the end of 2025.</p></blockquote><p>Source: Quantumzeitgeist.</p><h2 id=\"id_3736871724\">When To Buy And Sell RGTI (Technical Analysis)</h2><p>Let’s take a look at the chart.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/07eb7363b5ebc9961ab69a7c1f6a48aa\" alt=\"RGTI TA (Trendspider)\" title=\"RGTI TA (Trendspider)\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"722\"/><span>RGTI TA (Trendspider)</span></p><p>I’d consider what we are seeing here like a pretty clear five-wave impulse per Elliott Wave Theory, and I believe that we still have one more high left in a wave 5.</p><p>Let’s remember that in Elliott Wave, each wave also marks a different stage in the market cycle, marked by the changing psychology of traders.</p><p>In wave 4, where we are now, the early investors begin to take profits. Then, we get a final wave 5, where the investment becomes mainstream, and optimism reaches a fever pitch.</p><p>However, this is where the latecomers become the exit liquidity for those early investors.</p><p>With the Nvidia event happening on March 25th, there’s certainly room for some further excitement around quantum and new highs.</p><p>In terms of buying, we may have already bottomed in wave 4, after closing in on the 0.236 fib level. There’s definitely a lot of support at $2-3 with the 200 EMA and some previous volume, but I fear if we go that deep, the momentum will die.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d1e72588ba701663fdae71f1d80285dd\" alt=\"RGTI PT (Trendspider)\" title=\"RGTI PT (Trendspider)\" tg-width=\"1280\" tg-height=\"710\"/><span>RGTI PT (Trendspider)</span></p><p>Ideally, we go up from here, and perhaps re-test the recent lows at $6. Based on the inverse of the wave 4, which we find by measuring from the top of wave 3 to the bottom of wave 4, we could project the next wave 5 to reach the 1.618 ext, just above $31.</p><h2 id=\"id_4198276974\">Closing Remarks</h2><p>But quantum investing continues to be very risky, and even the CEO of Rigetti recently came out to tamper expectations.</p><blockquote><p>Particularly because of the hype that is going on in the quantum computing space and some erroneous statements are being made, including by people in the industry, we have to tamp down some expectations</p></blockquote><p>Source: Kulkarni, Yahoo Finance.</p><p>Personally, I would suggest those interested in gaining long-term exposure, get some by purchasing the Defiance Quantum ETF (QTUM), which I covered recently. Alternatively, large tech companies like Google and IBM (IBM) are also working on thesis technology.</p><p>I advise caution, but for those looking to make money fast, Rigetti is the way to go. An idea that was even later echoed by Meta Platforms' (META) CEO, Mark Zuckerberg:I’m not really an expert on quantum computing, but my understanding is that it’s still quite a ways off from being a truly practical paradigm,Source: Mark Zuckerberg, Benzinga.But the quantum dip did not last long, and most quantum stocks bounced back on Tuesday, following Nvidia’s announcement that it would be hosting a Quantum day.QTUM Price And EventsAlmost to the hour, the announcement by Jensen marked the top, and then the announcement of Quantum Day marked the bottom.What Can We Expect At Quantum Day?So what is Quantum Day? As far as we know, Jensen Huang will be speaking with some main players in the quantum industry at GTC 2025 on Thursday, the 20th of March.According to the company’s release, this will include sessions discussing the current state and future of quantum, a developer day, outlining how patterns are working with Nvidia to move the industry forward, educational sessions, and a Quantum Day special address.The timing of this announcement is definitely interesting, as it shortly followed the not so positive comments Jensen made at CES, but I am not surprised.As I wrote about in my first quantum related article, where I discussed Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) breakthrough in quantum computing, AI and quantum computing should one day be intimately related.It will, in fact, be up to quantum computing to provide the necessary hardware to take AI to the next level. Nvidia showed at CES that it continues to be at the forefront of AI innovation, and I’m therefore not surprised that the company is hosting a quantum day.Rigetti Has The Most Upside, But I’d Only Trade ItSo for those looking to buy the quantum dip, what’s the best way to go about it?Well, the best way will depend on each person’s approach to investing. I will discuss below what I see as the option with the most upside, and then also briefly talk about the best quantum investment.The stock with the most potential is, of course, Rigetti. This can be argued first and foremost due to recent price action and technical outlook.RGTI and peers price action (Tradingview)Since quantum stocks began to take off in December, RGTI has performed the best, up at one point over 700%.One of the reasons for this is very likely the amount of short interest.Risk Metrics (SA)Rigetti has a 16.01% short interest, which is on the high end, surpassed only by D-Wave Quantum (QBTS)Both RGTI and QBTS have weaker balance sheets than IonQ (IONQ) and Quantum Computing (QUBT), so this could perhaps be the reason there’s more shorting.Moreover, we could also argue that RGTI has some more enticing upcoming catalysts. According to their roadmap, the company expects to develop a 100-qubit computer by the end of the year.The company plans to introduce a new modular system architecture in 2025, to release a 36-qubit system by mid-year and a system with over 100 qubits by the end of 2025.Source: Quantumzeitgeist.When To Buy And Sell RGTI (Technical Analysis)Let’s take a look at the chart.RGTI TA (Trendspider)I’d consider what we are seeing here like a pretty clear five-wave impulse per Elliott Wave Theory, and I believe that we still have one more high left in a wave 5.Let’s remember that in Elliott Wave, each wave also marks a different stage in the market cycle, marked by the changing psychology of traders.In wave 4, where we are now, the early investors begin to take profits. Then, we get a final wave 5, where the investment becomes mainstream, and optimism reaches a fever pitch.However, this is where the latecomers become the exit liquidity for those early investors.With the Nvidia event happening on March 25th, there’s certainly room for some further excitement around quantum and new highs.In terms of buying, we may have already bottomed in wave 4, after closing in on the 0.236 fib level. There’s definitely a lot of support at $2-3 with the 200 EMA and some previous volume, but I fear if we go that deep, the momentum will die.RGTI PT (Trendspider)Ideally, we go up from here, and perhaps re-test the recent lows at $6. Based on the inverse of the wave 4, which we find by measuring from the top of wave 3 to the bottom of wave 4, we could project the next wave 5 to reach the 1.618 ext, just above $31.Closing RemarksBut quantum investing continues to be very risky, and even the CEO of Rigetti recently came out to tamper expectations.Particularly because of the hype that is going on in the quantum computing space and some erroneous statements are being made, including by people in the industry, we have to tamp down some expectationsSource: Kulkarni, Yahoo Finance.Personally, I would suggest those interested in gaining long-term exposure, get some by purchasing the Defiance Quantum ETF (QTUM), which I covered recently. Alternatively, large tech companies like Google and IBM (IBM) are also working on thesis technology.I advise caution, but for those looking to make money fast, Rigetti is the way to go. Obviously an analogy isn’t perfect, but its purpose is merely to increase understanding.</p><p>I shared the following story on Facebook last month, and it resonated with people. Some suggested that it should be an article, so here it is.</p><p><b>The Chicken Farmer</b></p><p>Imagine that you raise chickens. You have a large operation, so you don’t sell your individual chickens to your neighbors. You take them to a market where they are auctioned off each week.</p><p>Sometimes the demand for chicken is strong. Maybe there is a season when people tend to eat more chicken. The price people are willing to pay — because everyone wants a chicken — goes up and you make more money.</p><p>Sometimes supplies are short. Perhaps your fellow chicken farmers had some bad luck with bird flu and they have fewer chickens for sale. If supplies are short and demand is strong, then you make more money.</p><p>There may be times when you make far more money than it cost you to raise your chickens. A windfall, if you will. People get angry with you for making more money at their expense. They may demand that you lower your price for your chickens, even though that price is being set at the auction.</p><p>Then there may be times when there is a bumper crop of chickens, but because of changing preferences, the public has decided to eat fish. Perhaps there is a widespread belief that the future belongs to the fish farmers.</p><p>You take your chickens to market, but you get far less for them than it cost you to raise them. You lose a lot of money. If you lose too much, you decide to exit the chicken business. This is going to impact chicken supplies in the future. But hey, as long as everyone is eating fish, no problem, right?</p><p>Whom did you gouge in this process? Sure, there are times when chicken prices were high and you were making a lot of money at the expense of your fellow citizens.</p><p>But that’s because people in that chicken market were all trying to get chicken. They were competitively bidding up to what they were willing to pay, not shelling out more because you decided to sharply raise the price of chicken.</p><p>Of course, it’s even worse if they don’t have any alternatives. But it’s not you, the chicken farmer, who is taking advantage of people. If anything, those buying chicken could complain about the way chickens are sold.</p><p><b>Envisioning A Different Model</b></p><p>Perhaps there is a different way of selling chickens that will allow the farmer to earn a profit, and the customer to pay a “fair” price. Let’s say you decide you don’t need to make so much money and you decide to sell your chickens based on how much it cost you to raise them.</p><p>I can predict two things based on this model.</p><p>First, there will be those who will buy them and then simply turn around and sell them at the chicken auction. The supply and demand-based profit margin will move from you to them.</p><p>Another way to think about this is to think about your home. Let’s say prices in your neighborhood have soared. Instead of selling the home you bought for $200,000 at market value — which, let’s say, is $600,000 — you decide you don’t need to make that much money. You are content to sell your home for $250,000. Buyers will immediately pounce on your home, which is still valued at $600,000. You just gave the profit margin on your home to someone else, who can buy your home for $250,000 and sell it for $600,000.</p><p>Second, there will still be times when chicken prices plummet. Instead of selling the home you bought for $200,000 at market value — which, let’s say, is $600,000 — you decide you don’t need to make that much money.
