U.S. equities fell on Tuesday after the major averages staged a comeback in the previous session amid renewed hopes that a resolution may be in sight for the U.S.-Iran conflict.
The S&P 500 was 0.7% lower, as was the Nasdaq Composite. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 378 points, or 0.8%.
