据美国方面12日消息，新一轮美国与伊朗的会谈可能在数日内举行。
有中东地区官员表示，地区多国正与美国方面进行磋商，以确保延长此前宣布的为期两周的临时停火。
12日稍早时，有美国方面消息显示，多位官员及知情人士透露，在美国和伊朗谈判未能达成协议后，美国总统特朗普正考虑在封锁霍尔木兹海峡的同时恢复对伊朗的有限军事打击。
消息称，美军对伊朗进行全面轰炸的可能性较低，鉴于此举恐进一步加剧该地区的不稳定局势，加之特朗普不愿陷入长期军事冲突。特朗普还考虑向盟友施压，要求其承担长期护航任务。
在美国和伊朗谈判未果后，美国总统特朗普12日表示，他并不在乎伊朗是否重返谈判桌，称美国将于美国东部时间13日10时对伊朗实施封锁，对北约在伊朗战事中不支持美国很失望。
