当地时间3月25日，伊朗外长阿拉格齐在接受伊朗国家媒体采访时表示，“美国迫使伊朗展示对霍尔木兹海峡的掌控权——美国以为伊朗在虚张声势，以为伊朗没有勇气做这种事，但伊朗做到了。美国动用了全部能力来阻止，但失败了。”
阿拉格齐重申，“霍尔木兹海峡并没有完全关闭，只是对敌人关闭。该地区是战区，没有理由允许敌人及其盟友的船只通过。对于伊朗的友好国家，或者基于其他原因伊朗决定提供通行便利的情况，霍尔木兹海峡都是可安全通行的——中国、俄罗斯、巴基斯坦、伊拉克、印度、孟加拉国等国船只都安全通过了霍尔木兹海峡。”
