The tape was supported by continued strength in technology and AI-linked shares, while traders also positioned for the Federal Reserve’s policy statement. Treasury yields moved higher and the dollar firmed, but equities still managed a second straight session of gains.

Unusual-move stocks were dominated by semiconductors, AI infrastructure, and select industrial names. Among the biggest gainers, SOXL rose 11.69% at $101.08, SOFI up 13.42% at $16.40, NBIS up 11.22% at $170.47, AMD up 5.45% at $560.26, CRWV up 7.94% at $59.57, VRT up 4.39% at $208.56, MU up 2.77% at $928.76, and INTC up 3.61% at $93.74. On the downside, BA fell 10.69% at $168.18 after softer delivery expectations, while META declined 1.64% at $620.19, NFLX fell 2.16% at $62.52, and GLW declined 1.13% at $126.30. For U.S.-listed Chinese stocks, notable movers included SIMO up 7.92% at $204.17, EPOW up 15.31% at $4.52, and UPC down 22.22% at $2.24.

Several other notable movers also reflected earnings, guidance, or company-specific catalysts. TSLA rose 4.04% at $407.46, AVGO gained 4.00% at $342.33, STX advanced 3.67% at $667.85, and LITE climbed 5.88% at $866.18. In contrast, MEGL plunged 53.45% at $0.33, MF fell 20.06% at $8.37, CNET declined 20.19% at $0.83, and CCM fell 10.40% at $3.49.
