CANADA STOCKS-TSX drops more than 1% as US tariffs take effectMarch 4 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Tuesday as President Donald Trump's new tariffs on the top three U.S. trading partners took effect, triggering a global trade war.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 1.3% at 24,678.06.
