3月26日，由于中东冲突导致油价飙升，亚洲新兴市场（不包括中国）前景蒙上阴影，全球投资者或将从亚洲新兴市场股票中撤出创纪录的资金。自伊朗战争爆发以来，外国投资者已抛售约520亿美元的亚洲股票，数据显示，该地区有望创下自2009年有记录以来最大的单月资金流出纪录。依赖石油进口的韩国和印度等市场在此次抛售潮中领跌。高企的油价正对主要位于亚洲的能源净进口国的经济造成压力。
本月的股票资金外流规模已超过2020年3月受疫情影响的资金外流，更是2022年6月乌克兰战争后损失的两倍多。“我们可能会看到一些短期资金轮动至受中东能源风险影响较小的市场，这种情况可能会持续到伊朗局势更加明朗为止，”Allspring全球投资公司的基金经理Gary Tan表示。
