Bitcoin Falls Further After Trump Says Ceasefire Over
Dow Jones07-08 16:59
Bitcoin extends its losses after President Trump said the ceasefire with Iran is over following renewed attacks between the two sides. Speaking at the Nato summit in Ankara, he said as far as he was concerned "it's over" and it was a waste of time dealing with Iran. Trump's comments add pressure on bitcoin which was already weaker after the U.S. struck sites along Iran's coast and blocked its ability to sell oil legally on Tuesday while Iran responded with counterattacks. Bitcoin falls 2.5% to an intraday low of $61,836, according to LSEG.
